As the game is one of the dreaded "kids for a quid" fixtures anyone know if this game is nearly sold out? i'm particular interested in main stand tickets. why such an important fixture has been downgraded i really have no idea.

coventry game hasn't had as much publicity to say that it is kid for a quid yet so i doubt it will be packed yet.
but i presume after the bristol game it will have more publicity.

Dont we normally do well when it is kids for a quid? QPR we did

Oh no! The Forest board are trying to attract a new wave of Forest supporters to carry on the clubs magnificent supporting legacy with a decent price deal!

People who moan about KFAQ are, I'm sorry, stupid. Okay there are a few more hoodies in the crowd, but it's initiatives like this that will create new Forest fans. Also it means we only have 5,000 empty seats rather than 10,000, and that is ALWAYS better.

I've thought long and hard about this. It would seem to me that Forest want to charge you to go and watch them play. The simplest way of knowing who is coming into the ground would be to take their money and give them a ticket in return for that money.

So, if you want to watch the game against Coventry you will have to purchase the said ticket.

Now, you can either buy a ticket from Coventry at their ground or there is a ticket office at the City Ground, It's in front of the Main Stand. You can go there and buy a ticket with cash or a credit card.

That should enable you to get into the match on the day. You show your ticket on the turnstiles and the turnstiles man knows you have paid. Sorry for using the term 'Turnstiles Man', I am sure he has a proper title and I expect some women operate turnstiles although I have never met one, ever.

I live 95.2 miles from the City Ground but I still managed to get a ticket for tomorrow's game.

This is how I did it:

I telephoned my Father who lives in Lady Bay - I won't say on Pierrepont Road as a) You will all stalk me, looking in windows and stuff, and may want to touch my private parts. Also, b) Pierrepont sounds like it was named after a gay bloke - you might get the wrong idea. (Incidentally, Mona = miserable woman, Gertrude = old bag, Seymour and Julian are also gays, etc.) . I said to him that I wanted to go to the game and would need a ticket. He told me to leave it with him and then yesterday I got the good news. He has got one for me. I have no idea where from, maybe Willy's chocolate factory, eBay or Freecycle. He wants me to pay him £25 for the ticket but that's fine as I have a job that pays me enough to afford this. I get to sit down and watch all of the game which is great. Unless, of course, I am ejected by stewards for smoking or something. This is unlikely as I do not smoke. I'd have to take up smoking, purposely to wind up the stewards, which to me seems fairly pointless.

This to me, sums up the ticket situation.

I mentioned this in the middle of last week.

I wanted 2 good seats together in the Main Stand, and struggled to find what I wanted. I managed to get a good couple in BC Lower instead, but I would suggest you buy sooner rather than later.

As for the KFAQ issue. Of course it's a good thing. This match against Coventry is very important but also our most likely opportunity of getting 3 points before the last day. If kids see us winning games like this, they will come back. That's probably a bad thing if you're a moaning old loser, but in the grand scheme of things, schemes to attract young, new fans is a good thing.

I don't think it will be a sell-out so don't worry about not being able to get a seat but get one as soon a possible

I don't think it makes me stupid just because i don't want some kid near me singing Man Utd songs. This has happened twice on KFAQ.
