When prices were cheaper, a couple of us used to go to key games as long as they were local (he's a sheep and went to Wolves/Liverpool some years ago - some of you will know why he went). We went to Coventry/Bristol City some years ago 'cos it was a huge game for both of them - needed to draw (which they did) and needed Everton to beat Sunderland (which they did). So, without boring you all to death - yes, I may just find myself going to the game - it's kinda important!

Barnsley will get something, probably all three. Cov are sh*te and the Dingles will be full of beans after a good point at the weekend.

I think Barnsley might win this one. Coventry will be licking their wounds from the defeat at the CG and whilst they may go for it, Barnsley have more to fight for. 2-0 to Barnsley for me...

The weekend will be the most important. If we can overcome Blackpoo, I can only see Narwich drawing at Reading and Southampton being soundly beaten by Burnley. It will be at this point we will be safe and Narwich and Southampton confirmed relegation. I keep saying this weekend will be the biggest game of the season. If we win we'll stay up.

Come on you ROYALS!!!! oh and BURNLEY!!!! 8)

Whilst all but safe, Coleman will be desperate to end the appalling slump they seem to have found themselves in.

But they are gash, then again, so are Barnsley.

0-0

That'd do me, too.

Have literally just written a preview of the game for Fill Your Boots.

I'll link when it's online, but I predicted a 1-1 draw.

Why would I go to watch it?

With Coventry's from who knows? I am going for a draw but I think I am being a bit optimistic after watching them on saturday.

Yeah Coleman said he wants to reverse their slide before their season runs out.Anything other than a Barnsley win I'll be fairly content.

Cov haven't scored in three now, so they're due a goal.

I think it'll be tight, either 1-1 or a 2-1 win for Barnsley.

Fixed. 0-0 draw for me.

I'm afraid my inaccuracies are dragging you down. They last scored against Palace in a 1-1 draw and have gone the last three games without scoring.

Coventry need a result to stop their shit run of form so Coleman and the fans should have them frothing at the mouth for this match. Home win!

Cookie to deny Davey

Coventry v Barnsley

On the back of a morale-boosting draw with Reading, Barnsley still have their Championship status to fight for, whereas Coventry seemingly have nothing to play for.

The bottom of the division is still exceptionally tight and with Nottingham Forest beating Tuesday’s opponents at the weekend, Barnsley are in dire need of a win in this, their game in hand.

They will be buoyed by Norwich’s defeat at bitter rivals Ipswich on Sunday, knowing that even with a defeat here, they will still be out of the relegation spots.

A defeat is of no use, though, as Saturday sees them face Wolves who will need to win to secure the Championship title.

Manager Simon Davey spoke out this week, saying that he is facing no internal pressure and that he has the full backing of chairman Patrick Cryne.

It remains to be seen whether that will be the case should the Tykes go down, but Davey won’t want to even contemplate that, and instead will be concentrating on a victory.

He is faced with a selection problem up front as Michael Mifsud is ineligible and he is likely to stick with Luke Steele in goal, who impressed at the weekend.

Coventry lost 1-0 to Forest on Saturday with Reds skipper James Perch scoring the winner 46 seconds after the re-start.

The Sky Blues dominated in a poor first half, but failed to make their superiority pay, and instead were beaten by a side desperately fighting for their lives.

Chris Coleman slammed his side’s inability to defend from the start of the second half after warning them at the break of Forest coming out with renewed spirit.

He also spoke out after the game about his frustration with striker Freddy Eastwood, who has only scored three times all season.

There are a number of players missing for Coventry, including captain Scott Dann and strikers Leon Best and Leon McKenzie, so Eastwood looks likely to continue.

Barnsley will attack Coventry from the off, but Coleman’s desire to finish the season on a high could frustrate the visitors and they may just come away with a point.

Verdict: Coventry 1-1 Barnsley

Yeah... Wolves haven't won the title yet?

They're 6 points ahead with two to go but need at least one more point to win it.

Yeah, that's promotion that they've already clinched.

I'm sure they still want to win the title!

But how do B'ham or anyone else possibly catch them?

They'd have to win by a terrific amount. Unless there is some hilarious I'm overlooking.

That works in our favour, hopefully, as Wolves don't have much to celebrate normally, so will want to win something.

Come on Coventry.

And come on Reading against Derby and Norwich - they currently need another 4 points to be sure of a place in the playoffs.

Even though the goal difference is massive, they still need to win to secure it.

All well and good saying they're well ahead etc... They've still not won the title though, have they?

If Birmingham win and Wolves win their next game, then they can't win the title until the last day.
