Coventry Away

Any idea about demand for tickets and how many we'll end up taking?

I'm shamed to admit I've been to more Rochdale away games than Forest this year. Something must change.

Surely Coventry will give us as many tickets as we want given how many home fans they get?

I've been to as many Rochdale away game as Forest away games.

Coventry will give us loads of tickets, their main rivalry is with Lesta City.

As Winnits said, you can have what you like for Coventry. I think Wolves took about 6,000 last year.

Anyway, we've initially been allocated 3,070. With it being a Tuesday, I'd be suprised if we sold all of them.

We will sell alot more tickets then you guys saying..

We took 2k to Birmingham on a snowy cold tuesday night when the game didnt mean alot.

This is so much more important...

THE ALLOCATION SELLS OUT imo!!!

Is Ricoh Arena near anything? Like, can you go for a beer or something to eat nearby.... or is it out in the middle of nowhere?

I agree, I think we could sell this out, especially if we are on a high after beatig Dierby. Id like to go this one as ive not been to the Bruce Rioch yet! Went to Highfiled road a few times and allways dd well. Think we won 3-0 with a Kevin 'footlong' Campbell hatrick and then we got a point with 9 men aswell!

Its a soulless shell of a stadium which has the atmosphere akin to playing a match at the NEC... Overall I liked it!!

Oh and its about as easy to find a pub as Highfield Rd was, but at least that was was somewhere near the centre of Cov.

It's in Chaventry, so that's not too promising.

I plan on going :)

Yeah, like the others have said, The Ricoh's not up to much. There are a few places to drink however, so it kind of goes against the trend of your modern stadiums. Got to be said that the bars are a good 10-20 min walk away (depending on which you go to) from the stadium. Reckon we'll take a big following to this.

Going alone.
Have already researched pub and food options which I will post nearer the time. Not been to the Ricoh before but the two times I went to Highfield Road were both extremely memorable:
1. The day we won the League with Cloughie. 0-0 thanks to a wonder save by Shilton. The point was priceless.

2. The famous League cup tie when we were losing 4-0 at half time , pulled it back to 4-4 but somehow lost 5-4. The highlight was Brian Laws chinning that obnoxious low life David Speedie. :aggresive: :D ;D :D

I can't remember what it was called but we found a small but alright local about 20mins walk away and there was decent parking nearby.

This was also where I earned my reputation for being a slow walker last season so for normal people this 20mins may only take 1 minute ::)

This was the only away game I went to last season, it has a Burger King right next to the Stadium, it has a big Tesco shop near it too.

Take a parachute aswell. The seating is so steep an ibex would struggle!
