Could this be telling us something..................

I though you was the man in the know, so you tell us?

In the likely event of us not bringing in any new players then Billy will be making every effort to make the most of what he has at his disposal.

Injury in most positions leaves us vulnerable and so the likes of Chambers should be pushed and encouraged to perform and be rewarded when he does. No one should assume a first team place and unless we have a flexible squad then we lay ourselves open to the good old 'square pegs in round holes' scenario.

In answer to your question, yes, you're reading too much into the report. lol

i think what Billy is trying to do here is try and make Wilson and Chambers fight for a place at CB, as Billy says on the OS,

"Irrespective of whether Kelvin's fit or not, I can tell you 'Chambo' was not getting moved out this weekend.

"I thought he showed a lot of maturity at Hull, not just in terms of his performance but the manner in which he lead the group.

"He deserves to keep his place in the side.

"I've told him yesterday that it's his jersey and that I'm either going to take it off him or he's going to keep it. It's up to him but performance-wise he has been excellent.

about Wilson?

http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/f...t-defence/article-2681547-detail/article.html

Davies says "If Chambo comes good - he keeps the shirt" and if that happens does it clear the way for the club to get rid of Wilson?

A few weeks ago we was looking to strengthen the the CB position but if Wilson is shipped out that would mean we will need to bring in 2 CB's in order to strengthen - or am I reading to much into the report?
Yes.

It tels us that too many supporters want to find trouble where there is none and then stir it up on the internet.

Billy Davies is supporting one of his players.

Sometimes there is nothing to be read into things.

Just dangling the carrot so Chambo performs well, knowing he'll keep his place with a footballing masterclass performance!

I though you was the man in the know, so you tell us?

When did I ever tell you I was in the know - I gave the site one snippet of information once but that doesn't mean I know all what goes on and if I did know something concrete I wouldn't be posting it on here, especially after all the abuse I recieved from the resident numb-skulls at that time.

In my post I merely asked the question that might be on a lot of peoples mind after reading the article. :p

I think it's a fair assumtion - you might think differently, but you would sooner have a pop at me than answer the question - but you'll not be on your own.

Hmm i think there is a question thats needs an answer in my mind about this situation...
The way i read it is there is a reason why BD isnt giving the shirt back to Wilson, it was clear that when Gunter was out due to the red card he got, Chambers was filling in, but as soon as his ban was over, BD gave back the shirt to Gunts, now why is he not doing that with Wilson?
Seems a little strange to me. Maybe i am reading too mich into this, but BD didnt ask Chambo to challenge for the RB shirt.

This ^^ PSR you've been warned. Lost count how many of this nonsense threads you've started.

Any professional footballer should know that if he comes into a team and plays well that he will keep his place. The player that is left out because of this will also know he will get his chance to get that place back.

Chambers wasn't and isn't a natural RB, CB has always been his Natural Position, he looks much more comfortable at CB then at RB in the games he played RB he would sometimes move out of position and leave the Right Open, maybe Billy wants some competition between the Centre Backs?

As Forestman says ....... If a player (in his natural position) plays well (as Chambers did v Hull), it would be really unfair to ship him out just because the 'normal' CH is back from injury. I'd be amazed if Chambo doesn't keep his place v the Blunts. BTW - a rubbish thread. Conspiracy and intrigue where there is none.

I've been quite a gentleman so far in as much that I've never criticised any of your posts in the past but I do think I've read enough crap of yours that warrants using the word - Hypocrite!!

So really, who are you to hand out warnings?

This.

No conspiracy here, move along please!

...but...but...but...I'madinnerjacket told the UN this week that Wilson and Chambers are Israeli agents working for the FBI and were responsible for plotting 9/11?

Wilson is coming to the end of his contract and hasn't signed an extension. I'm on the side of the conspricy theorists here.

I guess Billy wants to get a new centre back established because Wilson will be leaving in the summer.

Isnt this what every decent football club has? healthy competition for places?
The shock of having a CB injured and THEN being replaced by *gasp* a CB thats actually ok.

The reason chambo didnt keep the right back spot whilst gunts was out was purely to do with the fact that he wasnt good enough! His crossing is not to the same standard and the way we play thats not good enough! He is a CB and i think that has shown in the last few games. There is nothing in this billy is just sticking by and supporting a good player! You would be pi**ed off if you had a really good game and then got dropped!

Its a message to every player in the team, including Chambers and McGugan and Raddy and everyone else.

If you play well, you keep your place, if you play crap you are on the bench.

And that is the way it should be.

YES you ARE reading too much into it, and when I watched the interview I did not think for a second that there was something else behind it, no conspiracy. Merely the same as what happens at most of the successful clubs, which is competition for places.
As many have already mentioned, if you can find a way to convince a player to put in a MOTM performance every game then you're going to play him, and if he doesn't bother trying then the guy who isn't getting games is most probably going to put in a 150% effort.

So all in all, no conspiracy.... merely Billy fielding his 11 most in-form players. The way it should be =D
