I don't think the away shirt is going to be checks. If you look at the description of the new rangers and west ham kit, they are both described as chequered design. However, it seems to just relate to the design of the fabric.

Yer, I'd prefer if we had a chequered design with just one colour (navy blue) like West ham's and rangers' kits. I don't like the navy blue and black combination

the cheque pattern reminds me of the late 80's home ales kit (home) when ooooh aaarrr franzy carr was bombing down the wing....happy days!
