The negative fliter is horrible!

Dear All Forest Fans,

If you dont think Forest will get promoted please go into your bedroom, turn off the light, climb into bed and talk to no one! We can do without you!!!

If you think they will be promoted or have hopes decorate the city in red and shout 'you reds' at the top of your voice! This is Nottm forest's moment to be where we want to be! Whoever plays we need to back them 100% no boo boys!

We are Nottingham Forest, Nottingham Forest FC!!!

Thats a bit of a daft statement to make. Its as if your saying your only a real fan if your overly positive and believe we'll win every game.

I dont think we'll go up, but I dont think im being negative- just honest. Looking at it realisticly, we deserve to be 3rd, but our form has nosedived since january and our away results/performances have been dreadful.

If your an outsider looking at it all in context, you'd say currently forest are struggling more than any of the other 3 teams in the play offs .

We've conceded 17 goals in our last 9 away matches scoring 5 and taking 1 point from a possible 27.
Looking at that in the real world, do you think its fair to say forest are guaranteed an away win?

Our home record is far, far better though. Which we can all be extremely positive about.

Theres room to be positive, but you shouldnt complain when people are being honest.

For me, i think we'll lose away 3-1 and win the home leg 1-0. Still a fantastic achievement in the context of the season- but im not going to lie to myself and assume promotion is a formality.
Its not, and at the moment all 3 teams are playing better than us.

I really hope we do go up, and think its perfectly possible.

There no excuse for out away form. Its simply shocking, even for the bottom half of the table it would be shocking.
Although I wouldnt be suprised to see us win our away leg only to fluff our lines at home.

FFS Man get a crip reality check, what the hell does me you or anyone for that matter have to with the way forest perform, we support them in our thounds every bloody week i know i do , do you actually go in person ? they are professional footballers and can play with crowds or without and it probably only makes a slight difference. At the end of the day it's down to the manager to motivate and get their heads on track then once they cross that white line it's down to them and them only.

On a personal level i want forest promoted as much as anyone, but do i think they will achieve that..no i don't because i don't think we are that good if i'm honest, yes we have played some fantastic football for which i have enjoyed every minute of it, but over all our away form is probably one of the worst and some of the performances have left a lot to be desired, so untill we stop all these bad and indifferent performances away from home get a board that wants to back the manager in times of need i:e January and sort out the shit we don't want or need i:e Adebola, McGoldrick etc etc we will always struggle.

Are you positive the board will back the manager in the premiership, in the summer maybe but what about in January when it really can make a difference? just ask Newcastle and West brom fans, theres your proof!!

FFS !! I don't know why but I find it really irritating when people just say "We won't go up" with such authority and certainty. For crying out loud we don't even know who we'll be playing. The simple answer is that not you, not me nor anyone else knows whether we will go up or not. And that is a FACT.

We MAY go away, defend brilliantly, have a bit of luck and come home with a scoreless draw. We MAY then beat our(so far unknown) opponents 2-0. Hey we're at Wembley. At Wembley we MAY play our sublime football against our unknown opponents and comfortably win 2-0 and Premier League here we come,

OR

We may go away play dreadfully and lose 3-0, come home put up a reasonable fight and win 1-0 but going out on aggregate and play in the championship again neat year

OR a million and one other scenarios in between.

So come on let's not assume anything. Hope, yes, fear, maybe but nothing's certain.

Me...well I'm hopeful we can do ourselves justice, have a great winning day at Wembley and look forward to the Premier League fixture list next season

We are all hopeful mate we are judging Forest on recent performances and although the home form seems creditable the away form remains a very real concern, but like you say , who knows what will happen. I have seen forest enough over the past years and come to the concluesion under pressure we buckle but lets hope we don't this time, only time will tell.

Still don't think we are good enough though!

strangely enough although our away form has been terrible of late and i normally lean towards a pessimistic outlook i actually feel quite confident about the play offs .we'll beat one of the teams in blue at wembley .

Well said mate. Anything can happen. Nothing is certain. I don't really know why these people who can see into the future bother watching a sport that's throws up random outcomes. Maybe give WWE Wrestling a go? I would rather enjoy the ride and take some hope where I can. I'm not saying that we should be relentlessly happy all the time but some of the negativity is ridiculous given what we've achieved this season. I think those that always look on the negative side do it as a fail safe mechanism ie: We don't get promoted = They were right all along. We get promoted = They'll be as happy as everyone else. So either way they "win". It's like betting against yourself at the bookies.

But...it takes all sorts I suppose.
