Billy Hunt
First Team Squad
Apart from bits in the second half Vs. Burnley and 20 + minutes against Leeds this season, we haven't really played well. I didn't go to Reading, but from what others have reported we played fairly well. The point I'm making in this post is do people think we have conceded daft/soft goals this season? We also did it alot in the last third of last season too, particularly away from home. Supposedly we have this dominant defensive reputation, but the goals against Leeds and Norwich this term were pathetic. I sit in the A-Block and, even from that vantage point looking to the goal at the Trent End, those equalisers were shocking, particularly the Norwich game. What happened to Billy's tactical ground rules of when we score we have a 10 minute consolidation period where we keep it safe and don't concede. Said goals against Norwich and Leeds have come very quickly after ours and/or right before half time. When did these bad habits creep in? Hopefully we can get past this and move forward, as we're not the sort of team that can score 2,3,4 goals per game at the moment to compensate for leaking soft goals.
PS - this is not a criticism of the back four or, especially, Lee Camp.
PPS - you reds! Keep the faith.
