And yet here we have a supposedly ambitious club, with pots of money to spend and (according to them) are a major attraction, trying to sign Commons and Ferry Bodde. If thats the level of the players they are hoping to recruit, I think they are in for a difficult season!

Yes, he has.

I've seen him several times on TV programmes gushing over his love for the club, and he regularly wrote of his affinity in his now-scrapped FA website column.

I distinctly remember him writing about taking his old shirts and photographs to be signed by McGovern and Burns.

Looking back, at the end of the season Commons did say on the radio that no contract had been offered, it could have been at that point that he was regretting his decision to attempt to sandbag the club.

I'm sure we'll cope without him though.

I agree entirely. If he was going to muck us around for another month before not signing a contract anyway, we're best shot of him, and spending our time finding a replacement.

Yeah. Perhaps CC has decided he was more trouble than he was worth, particularly now he has a whole new bunch of potential signings who are cheaper than commons and have a better attitude. Or maybe he just got pissed off with his agent and told him where to go.
