Collection for Nathan

As a few have mentioned on here I think it would be genuinely nice idea to have a collection towards paying Nathan Tysons Fine. It would also be nice to show tys the appreciation of the fans for the passion he shows for the club.
If we could get some LTLF buckets and some Tshirts with Tyson waving the flag made up I recon collecting before and after the leicester home game we could easily make a good portion of the £5000.
I know some will say he's a professional footballer and will never miss it, but nevertheless it would be a good to show Nathan, the whole team, Billy and his staff the solidarity among the fans and the fact we are fully in support of what they are doing. We could even collect it and donate it to a charity on Nathans behalf which having met the guy and knowing the thoroughly decent bloke he is I believe he would be more than up for.

Anyone interested in doing this please get in touch, as i'm 100% serious about doing this.

Sorry if i've hijacked someone elses idea or something similar is being organised, havent seen anything posted about this, but if i've missed it then count me in.

Hello everyone, new user but been reading for a while.

Thought i'd offer my support to the collection for tyson's fine. I think it's a worthy cause and would make a really good story!

Do think its a great idea if you can afford it, Seeing Robbie Sav do that with the scarf last year left me emotionally scarred, and Nathan has now laid that pain to rest like a form of therapy!

Yet like many of us, I have no money.. and the money I do have - I pay to watch the next game.

Nah, you're not mate. I just wanted to continue the crazy thread post theme.

I'm all up for this. He knew damn well about the controversy football had been creating that week, yet he still risked it to show his love for the fans and forest.

We already contribute to his wages, it's a nice gesture but it would be pure madness to give my hard earned cash to a guy who earns about 10+ times my own salary.

I'm not suggesting big contributions off of everyone, literally pocket change. Think about it there will be about 24,000 reds fans heading to the city ground for the Leicester game, if each of them chipped in 21p we'd cover it. Hardly asking the earth is it, even in the current financial climate. All we'd be giving up is a bit of our time for the chance to make a really positive headline for the club. Those who object to handing over 5000 to an already well paid footballer on moral grounds, I can completely understand why and would agree to a certain extent, thats why I suggested making a donation to a charity on the Player and fans behalf.

I would chuck in a tenner if we matched the fine for 'Nathan Tyson's - National Blind Childrens Society' or other suitable charity?? In fact, the T-shirts would surely sell?

I can think of few things less deserving of a whip round than an overpaid footballer, sorry.

I'd offer some change if 50% of the proceeds were donated to a charity of choice.

Help for Heroes.....there's a good one! ;D

Giving half to a charity of Nathans choice is a great idea, the other half should go to a charity of our choice via a poll, help for hero's and bhf would be high on my list.

However you would need to ask him which charity first as to publically collect money you would need a registered charity number. He doesn't need the money but would fully support the charity idea.

I think a better idea would be - we pay the fine - Nathan gives the same amount to Charity.

How does this fine have to be paid? Could Tyson get away with leaving £5k of 1p coins on the FA Headquarters doorstep and then dumping a lorry load of horse shit on top? It still technically counts as giving them the £5k they are asking for surely?

Forest will give him a nice £5000 bonus next month for playing so well recently, no need to worry about him being out of pocket but using his fine to raise the money for charities would work really well, plus the fa will need the money from his account not ours.

This would be priceless.

I emptied out my money jar the other day and have a box of 5p's I can't be arsed to count.

However, I'd happily spent a few hours gluing them to a flag for Nathan.

If he paints my fence.
