Club Shop has no planning permission

I've been hearing rumors, from people working nearby, that the new club shop has no planning permission...

Apparently there has been no work on site for around a week, no-one including myself has seen those planning notices that usually go on lamp posts etc... around, and if it is true the building will have to be torn down/reverted to the old layout.

Come on forest, the planning office is next bloody door

I don't think this is true at all, why invest a substantial sum without getting permission, which anyone with more than two brain cells knows is required?

They've even advertised the shop opening date so people can buy the new shirt before the new season a couple of days ago as well!

Theres no sign of a application on City council, but i'm pretty sure it'ld be County anyway, so who wants to help go through 16+ pages? To prove or disprove atleast one rumour on here at the moment.

Unless they've been planning it since 1990 theres no need to go past page 2, and I'm not sure you would find it on the search seen as the search hardly has every application ever made, seems to be only the once requiring consultation..

Sorry, for some reason it won't save the url

So, go on the rushcliffe CC website, view applications on line, search for an application, accept the disclaimer, enter pavillion road and go to page three

In my limited experience, construction sites seem to grind to a halt in the latter stages because the exterior is finished and the workmen are hidden away inside doing the little details, like the wiring, and decorating...

I'd imagine part of the reason there's been no work is because the ticket office was in use for the Lyon friendly, they wouldn't want to unveil the shop before the unveiling, would they? lol

still here...
Why start up rumours like this? If no planning permission had been granted, work would never have even started. At least be logical about things if you're attempting to stir shit.

Clearly my experience really is more limited than yours.
No. You're right really. That and the fact that even though they've had professional design teams, drawings, specifications and mock ups the b****y client only really decdes they don't like what they've asked for after you've built the damn thing and so sets about trying to make out it's your fault.

Its also on the rushcliffe borough council site, searched on Nottingham Forest. It was hard to find...

You don't need planning permission as its an alteration to an existing building but it needs building regs approval which is what they've applied for. Some people!
