interested to know what people think. its country for me, but it seems increasingly common that people vote for their clubs over their country. For example, would you rather see forest win the championship, or England win the world cup? Would you rather forest beat Derby, or England beat Germany or Argentina?

Club all the way for me. I do support England, but compared to Forest it's only really a passing default interest.

Id be suprised if anyone even had to think about it.

I support Forest week in, week out, spend a fortune eithier going to the games or paying for Forest Player.

I wouldn't even pay a fiver to watch the England match live tommorow

If Forest had their games broadcast on the internet for £5, I dare say just about every single person on here who couldn't make it to the game would pay it.

Food for thought, Mr Doughty...

I would. It would be brilliant! In fact, I'd never go to a game again!

Forest all the way for me.

Have never been to watch an England game live but I hate missing a Forest game.

Would mean alot more to me if Forest won the Championship (especially this season as I would get £130 and a free season ticket next season!) and, although I'd get very excited about England winning the World Cup or even being in the final, I wouldn't feel anywhere near the euphoria I would feel if Forest won the Championship and got into the Premiership.

England win the World Cup.

Beating Derby.

I go to every England home game but that means I probably still only go a similar number of times a year, to how often I see Forest.

I don't think the two are comparable really. It's like saying which TV show do you prefer - Friends or 24? I like them both and on occasions prefer one over the other.

Like our Vegas-bound Aussie friend, I think realistically it's not a decision you're ever likely to have to make. We'll never draw England in the third round of the FA Cup, so no conflict of interests.

It's like beer and curry - you can have both.

Let's be right, it has to be club all the way. However, the feelings are completely different! I would much rather Forest win the league or get promoted, however there is no denying the euphoria when England play in the Euro's or World Cup! The country unites and it's such a great feeling knowing everyone supports the same team!

Unlike most of you, I have had to actually (and I have to say bizarrely) make this choice when Forest played the Republic in Dublin last October. It was a no-brainer - Forest all the way (though Traps boys came out on top).

Having said that, there have been times where Ireland have had a really important game clash with a Forest match and I've opted for country over club. In addition, the pain of Ireland losing to Spain in the World Cup on pens (when we should have won in regulation time) was no less than that of Forest losing to Sheff u in the Play-Offs.

In summary, for me it's like Forest are my wife, and Ireland my knock off.

The wife is always there for me, and I love her dearly. However, if I had a knock-off (which I don't) I'd like to spend a bit of time with them every now and then and it'd be just as exhilarating, if not more so. Ultimately, if I had to choose, I'd keep the missus.

I feel so much passion for Nottingham Forest FC, that isnt even half present for England.

Club all the way - definitely.

I do support England massively if I'm honest, but it's not even close to the support that I give Forest.

Forest all the way, so much so I'm getting off my arse and flying in for the Newcastle game this week, wouldn't pay what I'm paying to see England

England are like a posh meal where all the vegetables on the plate don't compliment eachother and yet somehow you keep going back just to see if the new chef is doing any better.

May I just say that describing the England football team as a bunch of vegetables is a very apt description indeed.

We'll see you there.

No doubt you'll beat us again, like you do in every World Cup (hmmm....), and go on to be robbed by some inferior nation during the latter stages.

Probably! I reckon I'll have lost interest again by then :)

I put "country". If it had said "the side that represents your country", I'd have voted Forest. That said, I think I'm probably being a pedantic twat, the author probably meant that anyway :)

Club for me but it all comes down to our interest in our own players, the days of god and dessy and hodge playing for england then you would watch it more and feel more pissed off when they lost but with no forest players in the england squad then you dont have the same interest, Nowdays I watch Wales matches to see the boys which a few years back I wouldnt give it the steam of my piss.
