I've got a feeling we'll sign Stephen Pearson. I'd be happy with that. He was a key player when they got promoted under Davies and has good experience of this level. Wasn't he on loan to Stoke in their promotion year as well? Billy Davies was his manager at Motherwell and it's a position we could do with strengthening.

Can I ask the question why are we interested in poaching a load of players who have played/not been good enough for a side currently 2 points ahead of us? Is next season's objective being safe from relegation with one game to go rather than taking it to the last game?

Savage is a player everyone hates unless he plays for your team. I think Savage would be a great signing and is a player we could really do with, also gets the fans going aswell.

Why? We're not short on defensively minded central midfielders, with Perch Cohen and Moussi all able to cut the mustard in that position. Why should we waste huge wages on a 34 year old scumbag like Savage?
