city ground away allocation?

Just wondering how many tickets are we allocating to the away team in the play off game at the city ground? Does anybody know? Surely we should give them the minimum amount possible and pack the city ground out with forest fans!
 
We'll probably piss away the full Bridgford Lower to the away team. Personally i think we should give them no more than what they give us,, and put them in the Clough Lower
 
I imagine the playoffs have a similar arrangement to cup ties, ie, you need to give a higher % than you do in league games..
 
For once Forest need to listen to Billy Davies and dont give the away team any type of advantage, we did not give Yeovil many but I guess that is all they could sell, if we play Fester the most they will give us is 3000 so we should give the same as the capacitys are similar. I imagine our opponents will give us the same percentage of the ground as we give them.
 
If we play Blackpool they will give us about 800 and we will probably give them 4,500.

I have looked all over the internet but found nothing relating to the Play-offs, i can only find rules for the FA Cup. Also,, i believe teams in the Football League don't have to play by the minimum 3000 / 10% rule enforced on Premier League clubs. My understanding is that these clubs can set an away allocation before the season starts and dont have to change it. I believe Cardiff set theirs to a maximum of 1800 away fans, could be wrong though.

Not to do with the play-offs, but a mate of mine was telling me he'd heard that the away supporters are being moved to Lower Clough from next season. He reckons an official email from the club mentioned it but seeins as I've not spotted it anywhere else I'm guessing he's bull$hitting
 
thing is I cant actualy see the likes of blackpool,cardiff or swansea bringing more than around 2500 mid week regardless of the importance of the game.
 
Cowardly. We should both give 20% and have both stadiums rocking. I'm young, i wish i'd seen proper atmosphere rather than the sanitised bullshit football is now.

Good un TT - except that giving the away lot 20% deprives MANY Reds fans of a chance to see them. Give 'em a small pen in the car park then put them in a private box (with curtains on the outside). Maximum advantage needed. We'd probably sell more Wembley tickets than the other contenders anyway.
 
Both clubs should agree on the same allocation. I dont see why the club would want to give away fans so many tickets, when they could sell out to forest fans. But look at how many they gave derby and leicester.

The play offs will be the same :(
 
If we'd had a season where our fixtures had sold out i'd have more sympathy with the depriving fans arguement, we're just depriving glory hunters. On top of that we have the best away following of every team in the play offs so i actually think it would benefit us more if a figure of say 5k was agreed upon

This has been mentioned before and I think Billy has said he is looking to do that next season.

It would probably depend on how the home ticket sales go. ST Holders/Members can buy tickets before before we find out who we play, if they sell well then they might split the lower Bridgford in half.

I'm not saying we sell out. The fact is that many people want to go but for a variety of reasons, don't. So for an important game, we need to encourage them to make an effort. Two outcomes - both positive; they help drown out the opposition fans and spur us on to Wembley and it may just encourage them to make more of a commitment when the new season begins. As for glory hunters - tell me about it. I'll have been to 17 away games by the end of the season AND I DIDN'T GET A DERBY TICKET! But I'm philosophical about it. You have a good argument about us being able to take 5000 away, but it may just bite us in the ass at home. My serious suggestion would be to give the away fans the whole of the Brian Clough lower and fill the Bridgford with Reds.
 
It depends who we play. If its Lester then it will be the whole lot but i cant really see one of the Welsh teams or Blackpoo bringing 4500 on a weekday night to be honest
 
I would be bloody annoyed if penalties were taken in front of 4,000 Welsh bar stewards or bin dippers in the event of a shoot out. Give em the minimum permitted I say and fill the place with REDS!
 
As long as it's equal, the more the merrier for me. I want to go home and away and i dont really care about filling it with Red Fans who only come for the Play offs and wemberlee
