To be honest, I'd prefer 64 teams to 48.

It gets rid of all the third place bollocks which will result in loads of shit games in the group stage as teams know they only need a draw to progress.

Whereas having shitter teams in this World Cup will make things better? It'll be just as shit!

Not to get all holier than thou about cultural bias and perceptions of Haiti after they thumped NZ - but they are actually ranked above New Zealand in the World rankings - ok only three places I think it is, but people are thinking like they play barefoot with jumpers for goalposts. They got a decent french coach and he's got them playing high intensity pressing football with a lot of discipline apparently.

They recently drew with Iceland, beat Costa Rica and Nicaragua and had a narrow loss to Tunisia - they're no mugs. Wheras New Zealand have been really poor of late - apart from a shock 4–1 win over Chile, that was their first win in almost 10 months. They'd lost lost seven of their previous eight games, only avoiding defeat in a 1–1 draw against a shorthanded Norway.

Nice to note that New Zealand had only conceded one goal with Tyler Bindon on and then let in 3 after he was substituted - hopefully shows he'll be a starter and we can get a decent look at him while he gains valuable experience.

I like this idea, but with one change, that there would be only 1 ground in London, which is Millwall.
