Says here March 26th is the deadline if a spot is unused for the PL. However, I seem to remember there's a rule all available and contracted players must be registered? Dunno though in truth.

Not sure that's a rule, for example in our first season we didn't register Harry Arter and instead of left a spot open which Serge Aurier then took a week or so later.

In a way, it feels like we're still paying the price for Nuno's toys-out-the pram decisions with regards to the squad - as ideally we'd probably want to lose Boly as well.
Agree, the fact we are so limited with EL squad changes has pretty much dictated our January recruitment activity. EL squad was already light, but we’ve basically got to persevere with several players you would typically move on from, in my opinion.

Having to turn down 20m for Morato being another side effect of the early season squad decision.

I really don't get the narrative around this. Firstly, it wouldn't have been totally his decision. Secondly, the only really questionable decisions were to exclude Hutchinson and include Boly.

If Hutchinson was included then one of McAtee, Bakwa, Ndoye or CHO. Without the benefit of hindsight you'd choose each of those thanks to their European experience. Same with Boly, he was given a new contract and included for his experience and cover so that we didn't have to flog Milenkovic and Murillo to death. We could have included Cuhna instead but that would have been a gamble and we played safe going for experience.

In hindsight that extension for Boly just looks like charity now. I'm sure he's a good lad to have around on the training ground but he's offered nothing on the pitch and most of the time doesn't even make the bench. It was clear against Swansea his legs had gone.

Yes, in hindsight definitely. But at the time we were going into a European campaign with not wanting to play the first team twice a week and a lack of European experience so it made sense.

I'm a little confused Captain. You felt ashamed to be a Forest fan the other day because of how you perceived the club to be treating Cuiabano, yet you're proposing that a player who is probably of little further use to us is melted down!
I'm a confusing type.
Actually the Boly comment was tongue in cheek.
I think he will make a decent coach.

I’d much rather keep wood in the Europa squad over boly as 1 of the 3 changes.
Boly, luiz and kalimuendo out for hutch, netz and lucca with a bit of injury jiggery pokery to get the keeper in

I'd like to think we will see Wood return to the team this season.
If he does, and it is for the last 4 games or so, we could well be in that bottom 3 again, and to rely on a striker who has missed most of the season with injury might be a sizeable risk.
Taiwo (different injury i know) has only just started to look like he is regaining match sharpness, which to me is essential for a striker more than most other positions.

Interesting that Wood has stayed in both squads, can we infer they're optimistic he might play again this season? Or is just the limit to the number of changes you can make to the Europa squad that meant he kept the place?
I think we have to otherwise it's an utterly bizarre inclusion.

Perhaps they want to give him the chance of getting some games before the World Cup. It'd be gutting for him that NZ finally get to the finals in probably his last tournament and he misses out.
