I've long been resigned to Wood writing off this season and aiming to get fit for his last World Cup.
Either him or John Victor will be though in the PL - we have 26 players by my reckoning. I can see Wood getting the nod.Not much point him being in either named squad if he’s done for the year. That’ll be the indicator I’d guess.
Zinc was already replaced by Aina in the last squad so it's 2 places left to decide.Either him or John Victor will be though in the PL - we have 26 players by my reckoning. I can see Wood getting the nod.
Europa we're already replacing Kali and Zinc so have exactly one more change possible. Wood a good candidate there agreed.

As that was reverting a temporary injury swap, it doesn't count towards the 3 changes we can make this week.Zinc was already replaced by Aina in the last squad so it's 2 places left to decide.
Doh! - You're right of course. I meant to say Luiz not Zinc. So Kali & Luiz will be two of the three.Zinc was already replaced by Aina in the last squad so it's 2 places left to decide.
I imagine it'll be:As that was reverting a temporary injury swap, it doesn't count towards the 3 changes we can make this week.
Yep - was about to suggest the same.I imagine it'll be:
Kali > Lucca
Luiz > Netz
Wood > Hutchinson
My gaffer was at a poker night 2 weeks ago and the Forest physio was there and he said he was more than likely out for the entire season.
Am I right in thinking the only other possible candidates to come in are Cunha and Awoniyi?I imagine it'll be:
Kali > Lucca
Luiz > Netz
Wood > Hutchinson

Moreira as well, though that's probably even less likely.Am I right in thinking the only other possible candidates to come in are Cunha and Awoniyi?
Yeah I think so - excluding Ortega.Am I right in thinking the only other possible candidates to come in are Cunha and Awoniyi?
In a way, it feels like we're still paying the price for Nuno's toys-out-the pram decisions with regards to the squad - as ideally we'd probably want to lose Boly as well.Moreira as well, though that's probably even less likely.
Could also consider adding Ortega as a full squad member. But probably makes more sense for him to be a temporary injury replacement for Sels as it doesn't use up one of the 3 spots.
We might also drop the squad to 24 players and leave a space open to add a free agent at some point in time……Either him or John Victor will be though in the PL - we have 26 players by my reckoning. I can see Wood getting the nod.
Read the rules again and think I’m talking bollocks! If we can only register 3 new players (2 of which are replacing players we no longer have) then in reality, we can only make 1 ‘change’.Posted this in the transfer window thread. I think we can add two to replace Kalimuendo and Luiz, plus a further 3 swaps.
Not sure there's much of window even for that - think the PL list has to be in relatively soon. But I don't know for sure when.We might also drop the squad to 24 players and leave a space open to add a free agent at some point in time……
You've got me reaching for the UEFA handbook!Posted this in the transfer window thread. I think we can add two to replace Kalimuendo and Luiz, plus a further 3 swaps.
Players on our A-list who are no longer registered as playing for us - that's just Kalimuendo and Luiz, right? So we wouldn't hit the 'more than five' rule.32.01
After the completion of the league phase and before the start of the knockout phase, a club may register a maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the current competition. Such registrations must be completed by 5 February 2026 (24:00 CET) at the latest.
32.02
Exceptionally and without prejudice to Paragraph 32.01, clubs participating in domestic championships that start and end in the same calendar year are entitled to additional player registrations in the following cases:
Such exceptional registrations must be completed by 5 February 2026 (24:00 CET) at the latest
- If more than five players on the club's List A are no longer registered with their national association as playing for the club concerned after completion of the league phase and before the start of the knockout phase, the club may register one additional player, i.e. a total of four new eligible players, for the remaining matches in the current competition.
- If more than seven players on the club's List A are no longer registered with their national association as playing for the club concerned after completion of the league phase and before the start of the knockout phase, the club may register two additional players, i.e. a total of five new eligible players, for the remaining matches in the current competition.
To be fair, the only other change I would have made was Jair Cunha for Boly, so not a big deal.Read the rules again and think I’m talking bollocks! If we can only register 3 new players (2 of which are replacing players we no longer have) then in reality, we can only make 1 ‘change’.
Correct. At least, I think so!You've got me reaching for the UEFA handbook!

Plus, our season doesn't start and end in the same calendar year (ie a summer season), so we wouldn't qualify for it anyway. You've got me reaching for the UEFA handbook!

Good point, I'd skipped over reading that bitPlus, our season doesn't start and end in the same calendar year (ie a summer season), so we wouldn't qualify for it anyway.
