Seems we're still on the market for strikers. Does this mean Tys or Garner on their way?

A host of league clubs are tracking Bangor City hot-shot Chris Sharp, skysports.com understands.

Sharp, the son of Everton and Scotland legend Graeme Sharp, is highly-regarded after impressing at Bangor last season.

The 23-year-old scored 27 goals in all competitions last term before a broken arm cut short his campaign.

Sharp is now fully fit again and a number of scouts are keeping tabs on his progress.

Coventry and Nottingham Forest have been credited with an interest in the explosive forward, with a number of League One and League Two clubs also monitoring his situation.
Back to best

Sharp's agent, David Threlfall, confirmed there have been a few enquiries for the 6ft 2in hit-man and that he has a clause in his contract allowing him to move to the Football League.

"Last year breaking his arm was a big blow for Chris as he would have probably moved on then, but he is now fully fit again," Threlfall told skysports.com.

"There have been a couple of enquiries for him in the past week and I am sure there will be developments in the next few days.

"Chris has a clause in his contract allowing him to move to any club in the Football League."

While it may be true, it wouldn't surprise me if either an enthusiastic agent or Sky had thrown our name into the mix because we are one of the few clubs to be spending money in the division.

I doubt Tys or Garner will be replaced by a man from Bangor - at least, not immediately.

Spot on.

I don't understand why people assume we are going to get rid of players when a second hand journalist links us up to rumours.

Every scout for every club in the country run the rule of hundreds of players each week (it's their job) and some will track a player for a whole season but it doesn't mean even if we are 100% interested that someone will be leaving.

How the minds of some people work is beyond belief

Its come from his agent so take it with a pinch of salt. He's probably trying to engineer a move for him and we've been spending a lot recently, its no surprise a lazy journo has linked us.

Spot on ! His agent throwing a few names in to try and up the interest no doubt !

I'm just simply speculating with this whole Tys/Garner thing.

You wouldn't have to speculate about anything if you had read the 2 dozen statements that BD has put out over the summer.

He said he wanted his 6 strikers and now he has got them.

He said he wanted to work with Garner for a full pre-season and get him fully fit and looked forward to seeing what he could do in the forth coming campaign.

He said Tyson was going nowhere on at least six occasions since he signed his last 4 year contract.

End of I would say - it's a pity you don't read instead of speculating - You must be more positive!!!

Think you're being a tad harsh there, PSR.

Gary was only putting up what Sky said and trying to make sense of it. :)

F*cking hell...PSR or PMS?

Leave Gary alone, you've given us one transfer and a whole host of pointless threads. Gary stalks his own Dad. He's a dangerous man.

You have been warned.

I very much doubt we are in for him, it just seems as if they've through our name in the pot to try and alert other championship clubs of our interest.

Thanks for defending me chaps. I posts what I sees.

Trust me, I've posted much worse.

Also, based on this:

I knew all this already, but you know things can change. Better opportunities can change circumstances and that's universal across all business. Maybe a better prospect has popped up causing Billy to think twice about his statements. You just never know.

Granted a young prospect from some nobody team isn't an 'opportunity', but you never know with these things.

This is probably 100% bulls**t - however if I see something posted which could inform fellow reds then I'll probably post it. That's why I enjoy that old raisin, http://www.football-rumours.co.uk

I think it is all getting a bit daft when people start digging at each other about what is only gossip after all. Used to be that these things were pretty good fun, now though it feels like an episode of The Apprentice or Dragons Den.
