How refreshing is it to have such an honest and mature player, even at his tender age ? I find his interviews straight talking, his honest and 100% approach on the pitch a fresh breeze. He talks on the pitch and totally leads by example.

One of the names I hope remains synominous (sp) with the club over the coming years. Also one who strikes me with a great sense of loyalty and drive. Just the sort of player to keep this club pushing forwards !

Whilst he admits he would rather be in the midfield, he admits he is more than happy to deputise at left back / midfield whilst we are waiting for people to come back. Unusually (without seeing it) I don't worry if I hear him at LB. Knowing the sort of player he is I know we will get total commitment from him. He also admits he dosn't play as well there, but same as Jules, his passion overshines his ability whatever the position.

Certainly one we should keep signed up to long term contracts. Yes, he should score more and we know he has an awesome shot, and I'm sure with time they will come !

Chris Cohen is a player of flexibility and his strengths in midfield served us consistantly well last season.

Needs must right now and playing a defensive role temporarily will give us a forward moving edge until we are fully supoorted at the back.

I've always admired him as a player and his contributions have been well regarded and respected within the squad and the club. I fully expect him to be a key player in our push this season.

well said mate...one of the last of a dying breed a real footballer who are worth there weight in gold due to influence they can have on and off the pitch, Id prefer to have 10 cohen's then ex-prem prima donna's (A Cole, Lennon) anyday, He was my player of the year last year and hope he goes on to have an equally good season this year and stay with us for his career and help us become better whilst progressing himself with the club.
There's certain players the fans have an affinity with and cohen is certainly one and i think McKenna could go onto become a forest cult hero to, McGugan should learn a hell of alot from these 2 but will he? Im not so sure to busy talking himself up!.

I voted for him as "Player of the Year" too; last season, he seemed to always be full of running, and never gave anything up.

Always comes over and applauds the supporters too, which is always nice to see. He's a really decent bloke as well, and seems to be very happy to be at Forest, having signed a new contract in the off-season.

Going forward in the next few seasons (whichever division we end up playing in!) Chris Cohen is the kind of player we need to build the team around - solid, hard-working and dependable. He's a "proper" footballer.

(Disclaimer - I've got a "Cohen 15" new home shirt too!)

Think I might upset the love in here but, whilst I really like Cohen's attitude, work rate and professionalism on the pitch, I think we better players technical wise in McKenna and Majewski. Cohen's going to have to get used to the left flank this season I reckon.

He is a lot better in midfield. I thought he had an unusually bad game against Bradford but I put that down to playing a role that he shouldn't be playing. Leaving big gaps behind him and commiting foward too readily show signs of a midfielder in a defenders role.

However, we are limited for choice and we are going to have to make do. I rate the guy highly but he is going to have a challenge of finding a central midfield role ahead of Majewski and McKenna but he would most definately be my next choice to play the midfeild role.

He started as a left back before he went to Yeovil. He should be used to playing there. I think if he could mould himself to tha position for the season it would add much needed stability to the back 4.

So all we neednow is that centre back!

From what people have said so far this season, I don't think he's 100% fit yet.

He did have an injury in pre-season, though, didn't he?

At West Ham along with Yeovil and ourselves his "main" position is and always have been Centre Midfield, although he has played at Left Back on occasions.
