Why give the sad deluded Sheep the satisfaction?

They can try to lay claim to a Clough all they like, but until he shows some results on the pitch he's nowt more than a non-league manager (a successful one, admittedly), who has made a gigantic step up - who happens to have a notable surname.

And he was cheap.

Why is he successful, yes Burton are 13 pts clear at the moment but thats took him 10 years to get them there and theres still half the season to go so i beg to differ.

You struck the nail on the head - its a win-win for the powers that be as the fans get Clough (to shut them up) and they dont have to pay him huge wages/compensation.

The Great Pretender is a bit harsh.

I'd be happy with "The Whole World In His Hands". That is our theme from the glory days. And it was all about Clough Senior. I forget the song Derby made about reachin the last 4 in Europe and winning the league.

I wonder if it would have been "He's got the whole sheep in his hands"?

The Sheep will be far more irked if we give Nige a cheer and a clap and then get on with supporting OUR team rather than paying so much attention to their new manager.

He was a legend at Forest, but this is mainly because of his father.

He is now manager of Derby, and therefore I will give him abuse. Ever since he left Forest its been Derby this Derby that, constantly critisising Forest. This is just the final staw.

One decent Clough!

Not Nottingham Forest football club and everyone associated with it.

Have to disagree. Burton are one of the only part time teams in the confrence. He's done an amazing job. There are some big teams in there - well big compared to Burton - Mansfield, Torquay, York , Wrexham etc. Teams who have been in the league for years. They have got a new ground, funded in part by the Man Utd game that Clough led them to. However, the Championship is a different kettle of fish and i for one hope he fails miserably, with a worse record than Jewells

I'm sure it would irritate the sheep far more if we were to cheer for Billy Davies.

I have nothing against Nigel, other than his appalling taste in employer, and will never say/ sing / cheer anything derogatory against him.
