Pick your two best centre mids of the noughties in the poll above.

I have gone for McKenna and Majewski because they have shown that they are a very good championship pairing who play completely different roles.

Where is Darryl Powell? He was a brilliant signing showing exactly why Megson is held in such high regard.

Much like people think top league football only started in 1992, I fear this poll only started in the second half of the Noughties.

Oh and for the record, I vote for Chris Bart-Williams and Gareth Williams. (Though voted for McKenna and 'Other.')

For a time I liked Andy Johnson too - but it was a very short time.

Johnson was pretty good in the season we won promotion under Bassett, but never really lived up to his hefty £2,500,000 fee.

I voted for Jenas and Cohen.

Surprised Scimeca's not had more votes.

What did Jenas ever do for Forest? wasn't it about 20 apperances and 2 goals as a 17/18 year old?

He kept the wolves from the door when sold, though.

I think we would have gone into administration that week had he not been sold. Plus even though he only played 30 games, it showed what a class act he was that Newcastle were willing to stump up £5,000,000 for him.

I don't think how much Newcastle are prepared to spend on you can possibly be an accurate barometer of goodness :D

lol

From the club that spunked £10m+ on shit like Martins, Coloccini and Luque that is a fair point. However Jenas was a complete class act and still is. Given the choice to sign any ex-player, still playing, he would be my choice!

Where's Shaun Derry, Adam Nowland, Gary Holt and all of Joe Kinnear's sexy midfielders?
All were Megson signings?

I want to vote Bopp due to his potential, but did he do enough in his time here.........
Sod it, Bopp and Williams get my votes.

Went for Jenas and Scimeca. You could always tell Jenas was going to be a class act destined for the premiership - a bit like Raddy but Jenas has that little bit more about him or did.
Scimeca the season before he moved was immense - for that season alone he got my vote.

Overtime it might sway to Raddy though.

Jenas and Scimeca - my next two choices would have been the Bart man and Williams though, who aren't on the list.
