I'd snatch their hand off and I don't think many people at all, if they're being completely honest, would do anything else. As much as I love Forest, the welfare and financial security of my family will always come first.
If Kelvin does take the plunge, I for one won't blame him. The blame will lie with Forest for failing to show any ambition.

Not quite sure what you mean. I don't think Wilson is necessarily anywhere near good enough for the Prem. So just because Celtic are willing to pay silly wages, doesn't mean that we should do the same. As for lack of ambition, we seem to be trying to sign all the right players but they just don't want to come (so far). Not because we lack ambition but they know they can get 3 times the wages from a prem club. Also, Shorey (for instance) would presumably sit on a premier club bench rather than have an exciting season getting us promoted. Why? 'Cos he wants big dosh. We could pay £20 thousand a week wages to 3 or 4 players, and if we fail to go up (never a certainty), we'll be back to the bad old days where we had to sell everyone to make ends meet. No thanks. Sensible buys and sensible team-building.

PSR - if you read my post you'll see I said 'seem'. So therefore I don't 'know this' as you say. I TRUST that we're trying to sign the players that in various interviews Billy says we're interested in. If we're not trying to sign these players, what is the point of having Billy as our manager?

I wasn't questioning where you said 'seem' - I asked "how do you know this" to the comments you made about our possible transfer targets when you said - "they just don't want to come" So I'll ask the question in this way - How do you know that they don't want to come? - have they told you they don't want to come or is it just pure speculation on your part?

We think they don't just want to come, because they are not HERE yet. Any player will be hopeful they can get a place in the prem, as that's the calibre of players we're aiming to sign. They're not going to want to come to us if a move to a Premiership side is there to be wangled on their part. We have to sell them the Forest dream; get them here and they won't want to leave. The problem is getting them here!
Having seen the goals of the friendly match between Celtic and Manchester United, I can see why they are looking for a Centre Back.

he went there from county as a young lad so he was never gonna start on 10k
he was never a regular so i doubt he would of had any sort of pay rise to the tune of 10k
i doubt preston could afford to pay 10k to anyone
and i know for a fact yes thats fact that hes on around 5k at forest and is demanding atleast 9.5k for him to sign a new contract...
apparently hes keen on the move to celtic as they are offerin more money than forest are willing to.
