I haven't checked to see if there is already a thread so delete if there is.

Iv just noticed that the carling cup tie against bradford city is during the international friendlies so I'm guessing were goingg to be missing earnshaw, gunter and maybe raddy.
Could be an early exit in the first domestic cup

Not that i think we'd want to play these players anyway, give the second string side a chance to play, mcgugan, thronhill, gaz mac, chambo, moloney etc... maybe even some youngsters. Can't say i'd care in the slightest if we went out to Bradford.
 
Didn't I read some where that billy was planning on loaning some of our youngsters out and we played all 17 fit players against peterborough, personally I'd like us to go as far as we can in the cups. The increased revenue could go towards a players wages or maybe even a signing
 
Considering how supporters generally are so blase about the Carling Cup (the awful attendence levels are proof of this even though tickets are normally relatively cheap) will many people really even care that much if we go out?

I think it would be a blessing so we can focus our limited resources on the league.
 
be nice to get through and get a big name premiership side. But i much prefer the F.A cup away days out when we play a premiership side.
 
Well il be goin, only because it's away, I no what you mean about the low attendence though. Forest should give tickets away to season ticket holders for the first couple of rounds, theyll stil make a killing on the grub and booze, but then again that would be the sensible thing to do
 
To be honest I think Billy will just use this game as a run out for those who have missed pre season. People like Wes and Wilson I'd expect to start to get some match fitness/ sharpness.
 
Don't forget, lee Camp will be unavailable due to England duty too.

Darlow or Smith?
 
If Darlow is going be second choice, this would be a good game to get him some competitive match practice.
