I hear plymouth are going to get a few loan signings in?

I wonder how Plymouth can manage it but not us ?

Fletcher was alright, he didn't do much, but he wasn't here that long was he ?

I can't even remember him.
When was he at Forest?
Before or after Carlton Palmer?

He wasn't rubbish at all. He'd get in our side at the minute. He's the type of players you need at the minute. He will put his foot on the ball and not give it away.

Platts 3 Italions could get in our side at the minute.
As could Silenzi and Dadi.

Salvertore Matricano - Gianluca Pertraci and who was the third one cant remeber his name? Wasnt he about 74 years old?

Platt said he was the schrudest defender he had ever played with! Then again, Platt is a total cock end

Re: Carl Fletcher

I distinctly remember that when he signed CC commented that he had seen CF vs Germany for Wales not too long before. He said that he didn't look out of place against the likes of Ballack! This begs the question.. why is he in CP reserves? Why didn't he perform for Forest? How is this going to change when he goes on loan to your lot? TBH Ballack hasn't been upto much recently either..

You answered your own question.

Plymouth have brought in a player THAT WE RELEASED!

If he represents the calibre of player available on loan then BD is spot on with holding fire.

yeah , i read that sturrock has been promised money to get some loans in , strange how EVERY other club seems to be taking positive action to try and stop their demise but we await our fate willingly it seems , i knew we were f**ked when i saw sinclair come on at half time yesterday and this thought was cemented when lynch came on , nothing against either player and lynch actually looks strong in the air so perhaps he is ok at centre half but he sure as shit ain't no left back but regardless if we are having to use these players we are doomed basically as they are not up to it and make us visibly weaker , i really hope we somehow manage a result against the sheep to turn our season around AGAIN ! mcgugans shot that spun off the post and somehow didn't go in last night could have changed our season if that had gone in as our confidence would have rocketed however it's all if's and but's at present , bloody hell i hope we can get moussi, earnie & anderson back for the run in and manage to get no-one else injured beforehand .

Re: Carl Fletcher

Perhaps we should clear up Platt's three Italians. Everyone imagines they were all useless and cost about 8 million pounds each. In fact, Salvatore Matrecano, Moreno Mannini and Carlos Merino cost us a total of eight pounds ninety five and this was in the days when a pound was worth four million lira and three thousand dollars. Although, between them they only managed 28 starts for the club, they scored more than three hundred goals, they were all badly injured due to running away too slowly during the second world war. They were all in their fifties when they made their debuts for Forest. Their grandchildren went on to invent pasta sauces under the barnd name of dolmio.

In that season we also had the following players - Ricardo Scimeca, Jon Olav Hjelde, Nigel Quashie, Liam O Kane, Terry Farndale, Bernard Allou, Mark Crossley, Dave Beasant, Jesper Mattson, Marlon Harewood, Matthieu Louis-Jean, Ian Woan, Chris Bart -Williams, Steve Chettle, Douggie Freedman, Alan Rogers, Thierry Bonalair.

So many good players, Platt could not decide which were the best. He played 40 different players that season.

We haven't even got 40 staff now, he'd have to play the under 12s.

Re: Carl Fletcher

Fletcher played quite well on his debut at QPR and in one of the home games he played. Then he went downhill and seemed to be well off the pace, getting caught in possession, etc. Although he seemed to be constantly struggling with a back injury.

If he's 100% fit then I'd certainly have him back here.

he's not coming here though, looks like he's off to plymouth.

Lets stop beating about the bush here...................In a world of crap players we have been forced to witness, Fletcher was indeed crap, otherwise he would have stood out and countless threads would be dedicated to him.

He was very poor at Forest............he was crap to be honest.

We didn't release him, he got sent back because he got injured and wouldn't have been fit untill his loan spell was up ::)

He looked alright when he was here, bit of a battler, not a bad signing for Argyle really.

Re: Carl Fletcher

He was only on a 1 month loan and he got injured soon after. If he's fit , i'll easily have him back. Got to be better than Perch who he replaced when he came.

Tells you all you need to know , plymouth can get loans in , we get f*** all. Fletcher is experienced and would be useful in our squad.
