Hello,

As a CCFC season ticket holder, just got back from the game now. Congratulations on the victory, while I can be totally honest and say we played nowhere near our potential, you guys played well, were the better team and deserved your victory.

On a seperate note, I would like to wish Dexter Blackstock a speedy recovery from what looks like a serious injury. Irrelevant of who we support, no one wants to see things like that on a football pitch.

Good post mate and welcome to the forum. Would be good for you to stick around for a while and let us know from time to time how cardiff are playing, etc. Always good to have opposition fans opinions and views.

Thanks for the comments; I too think Cardiff will be there or thereabouts at the season's end; they have too much quality, especially going forward, to not be.

you deserved the win today, all over us every second of the game.

but in the canton stand there were a few forest fans, i dont mind that as if they couldn't get tickets but dont you think they were asking for some trouble as when you scored they stood and celebrated a stupid thing to do tbh .

hope dextor makes a speedy return (Y)

Happens occasionally at the City Ground and - I guess - at other clubs. If it was me who'd got a ticket in the opposing teams stand, I'd keep quiet!

You can always expect to find a few away supporters intermingled with home fans no matter who you support and where you're playing.

However, I agree with your observation that aforementioned fans really should contain their excitement/dismay no matter how challenging in respect for where they are and the volatile situation they could potentially cause purely because of their location amongst rival supporters.

f***ing hell another nice Cardiff fan!! I didn't know we'd even sold out our allocation today but as we now have further restrictions on our away following due to the odd raping, pillaging and fire on the road I guess there were a few who had to pay on the day to get in the home end. Bit silly though. I have watched Forest from home ends before when I've been desperate but always keep quiet.
 
Having a welsh pint before kick-off along with some home fans, no problems what so ever. I was surprised tbh. Seems the young ones in the ground let the side down being silly asking for a straightner outside to anyone who looked. Doing that stupid Iv got big biceps but no fists head thing pissed 'em off.

I met a few Cardiff fans today who were all ace.. I'm no fan of the off-the-pitch situation there, but that's not the doing of the fans.

As I noted in the match thread, a fair few remained after full-time to applaud the Forest players (particularly Earnie admittedly) AND our fans. Shows class, that does.
 
Yeah i like to see opposing fans clap the away side when they know they have been truly outplayed and beaten by the better side. We did it after the blackpool play off game at the city ground; it just nice to acknowledge that the other team were just better than you were and deserved to win. We dont see that often enough from fans.
 
Wish the Yorkshire police would come along with us to some away games and see that home & away fans can be in the same room without the universe imploding.
 
1st time iv been to cardiff and was a bit worried about the reputation of the fans well im glad to say we were brave and went in a pub in the town centre and met sum nice guys who were cardiff fans we had a great chat and loads of banter the ground is fantastic and the stewards were brilliant ,i made a bit of a school boy error and left my window open on my car in the ground car park and about 20 mins into the game my reg came over the tannoy DOH!
 
yeah I found the stewards friendly. Bit strange having them watch me pee.
