Caoimhin Kelleher [BUPA]

He has been given a chance in cups but he's not getting past Alisson any time soon and as he admitted in his interview he's wanted first team football for a couple years now, Liverpool have turned down offers for him though but now they've got a replacement they aren't standing in his way of what he wants.

He is an excellent keeper, unlike outfield players even at 25 he's not lost a massive chunk of his footballing career and anything between £10m-£15m is a steal.
Bournemouth are in the market for a new 1st choice keeper.
I doubt they will be the only bidder if the Scousers decide to sell.
Aaaron Ramsey deal has set the benchmark for a genuine Number 1.

He isn't going anywhere till next summer. Alison will still be there and the new lad will be back, making Kelleher third choice and in the last year of his deal. He will go for somewhere between the £10-15m range. Liverpool fans all seem to rave about him, so not sure why he isn't being given a chance with them.
Sadly for him, he's behind one of the world's best in Allison.

He did shine when Allison was injured last season and I fancy we'll definitely go in for him again as his contract ticks down.

I get both your points, it was more alluding to that he isn't been seen as the long term no.1, instead they have pivoted to the Georgian 'keeper as the long term replacement.

He was seen as a long term No1, definitely didn't look out of place in the team,he doesn't want to wait around that long for it though any more.

After conceding five goals to England do we still want him?
He was playing behind ten men, and a defence that would have disgraced the Dog & Duck.

The header was the only one he really had a chance at.

Looks a good keeper but still a relatively small sample size. Still not sure he would incrementally improve us vs the fees being mentioned

He's a good keeper but Sels is good enough as our #1 with Miguel as backup

Kelleher would be surplus to requirements IMO

Plus as he's Alisson's backup he is going to cost a lot more than he should do for his age and level of experience.

It's all very well coming in to the Liverpool side as 2nd choice keeper. You know you have nothing to lose, because when the 1st choice is back, they will be in the team. So you're only playing because they can't, and there's no pressure on your place. And there isn't usually enough time to build up a highlights reel of mistakes, nor would there necessarily be this anyway, as you have the likes of VVD and Konate in front of you so you don't get as much to do.

International level is slightly different because you can look at the results and that's often about it. Costa Rica's keeper was considered to be one of the best in the world in his prime, but him playing for them didn't stop them leaking goals occasionally, I think he let in 7 at the last world cup in one match. But he was probably one of the reasons they were there.

The sample size is too small to see exactly how Kelleher would sit, as it is with Miguel. But Sels has showed this season especially with a more solid defence in front of him that he will keep it out and he is one of the reasons why our defence is working well, there was an improvement last season - from him making his debut in the land of hurricanes, after that the most we conceded in a match was 4 vs Villa, along with a couple of 3s (Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs) in a defence which let in a fair amount before then, and hardly ever kept a clean sheet all season. But we were in matches more under Nuno and Sels coming in was a big part of that.

There is absolutely no reason why we need Kelleher at this stage as even if he is an improvement on Sels it isn't really a priority position to upgrade.

And whilst Wood is doing the business at the moment he's only a loss of form or injury away from us needing to hope Taiwo can come up with the goods again which is doubtful given his injury record. So that is where we need to be looking really

He’s a good keeper. I’d love him at Forest. It’s bizarre that he’s seen as a young prospect when he’s only 5 years younger than Sels.

Keepers who are 31 still generally have a good 5 years in them, so it isn’t really an issue we need to address. Especially the cost a Liverpool keeper would be.

You can if you want use his actual name given he's an ex Forest player..
