Can't make automatic promotion

As you can see from the table, after last night the chance of automatic promotion is now gone:

Seriously, I think this provides a good guide to the end of season positions. Teams are ordered by points per game hence Barnsley are much higher. It predicts the final scrap being between a bottom 7, cut adrift from the rest, with the end of season table looking like

18= Barnsley 51
18= Plymouth 51
20 Southampton 50
21= FOREST 49
21= Blackpool 49
23 Norwich 47
24 Charlton 34

It comes down to goal difference - just as well Smith is between the posts! :D

Doesn't it need to take into account who has the "most bastard" run in?

Johnny Bravo

But a trip to wembley for the play off final is still on right?

Our run in is mainly against the lower placed sides which looking at recent results in the league makes it look like the toughest.

Teams fighting for their lives are the hardest teams to play.

Look at Cheltenham beating Doncaster last day of the season.
