Can you change seats if you have a season ticket???

Ok folks i've been contemplating getting a season ticket this year but the lad i normally go with wont be able to make many matches due to being under the thumb (oh and the fact he's just had a nipper) so i was wondering if i get a season ticket and say he wants to come to a game can i transfer my seat to sit next to him in the ground (altogether now ahhhhhhh how sweet.)

I think it suppose to be done 24 hours before kick off aswell but than again knowing our ticket office theyll probably do it whenever.

ive changed them on the day loads of times ,they never said anything so suppose they dont mind
