City lose again! Are Man City there for the taking? Or are we going to be on the wrong end of a rebound? Let's hope Hughes keeps his job till then? U-Reds!!!!

We will more than likely have our asses handed back to us on some fine-arabian gold plated dinner set.

I seem to remember Spike Milligan saying that his biggest fear during the war in North Africa was that of 2000 Arabs coming out of the trenches bearing jars of Vaseline and screaming "Lawrence we love you!".

Spikes books on his war time service are so full of his quick dry humour, they have to be studied rather than read

They are brilliant - yet at the same time a damning indictment of the British army and war in general.

Milligan was a genius.

I think it depends who plays. The long and short of it is we're not good enough, but if Hughes goes for Vassell & Sturridge upfront, and leaves Robinho out of the first 11 as well as playing some other fringe players then maybe. I do think we could get a goal against their defence, maybe 2 with Joe in good form. All we'd have to do is stay solid at the back....hmmm

Agreed, but as well all know The Cup is all about who wants it most on the day. Hopefully the opportunity to perform on "The Premier Stage" will inspire our lads to raise their game a notch or two, and if there is friction in the Manckers dressing room (which is likely on current form) then we can maybe "get a result". Our fans are certainly going to be heard loud and clear - like they were at Chelski. But unlike the Chelski game this one is doable!!!

Of course we can, us on form, them off form, a bit of luck and anything is possible. The question is, do we want to??

We can, but given our position, the cup would be a distraction

I bet Hughes is mega insecure about his job though, so I imagine he'll put a full force team out to guarantee a win, just to ensure he doesnt lose to a relegation-zone championship team

He's in a catch 22 really... he put out a full force team and hope there's no upset and they get through, but loose and the fans will want blood. Or put out a second string and if he wins its no big deal, he's expected too, and if he looses then he's in the same situation as putting out a full XI. I'm not sure what he'll do.....providing he's still in charge.

I don't see why not. They will be the team under pressure, we are the underdogs that are not expected to win.

i think if we follow rangers' example and storm the city centre en masse then it is pretty much ours.

Anyone who might resist lives about 10 miles out of the city centre anyway.

No.

Have a little faith Chris, the magic of Christmas\the magic of the cup and all that!

Just had a message off my cousin who's a city fan and he's not confident at all, even the City fans are worried we might just win

No surprising! As a comparative: If we had drawn say Cheltenham, Brighton, Swindon, Carlisle or Yeoville at the CG in this round - How confident would we be???
