O.K then on the way home I finally think I have given up on forest and all hopes of being a big club again and after 20 years of supporting what I believe to be one of the biggest most successful clubs in the midlands It hit me that this will probably never happen again which I'm happy to accept and I can live with supporting forest in the lower leagues for the foreseeable future relegation will be hard to swallow but if that happens it happens.

What I want from the forest board is to be honest with us, we keep getting this talk of we cant afford this that and the other, and we've made bids etc etc just hold your hands up tell us if we have any money and if we are genuinely going to go balls out to survive in this league and build a squad that will eventually gain promotion in 5 years, if we have no money and time are hard again like the Platt seasons just tell us remember how the fans reacted and stood by the club when we first found out how bad things where back then? yeah sure there was anger but the majority realised we where in the shit yet saw you trying you hardest to sort the shit out. Since then everything is constructed behind closed doors and all we get is excuses.

so are we a building for a future in the prem/CC or is Mr doughty happy to consolidate in league one where the running costs are smaller and less investment is needed.

I don't think it's a conspiracy theory from ND I just don't think he's very good at appointing the right people to take a football club forward.

Im not saying theres any conspiracys I just want to know if the club actualy has the money to compete at this lvel or if we are actualy now a bottom tier club. or maybe doughty is a gambling man and he isnt investing now as if we survive the drop maybe there will be plenty of clubs int trouble come the summer who will be looking to sell of there tallent cheap.

I'd be more than happy to back every memgber of the club staff 100% if they were to state who and when they tried to sign, since 1st Jan, and what happened in each case (where legally possible to do so).

The truth may hurt but it is this, Mr Doughty has obviously lost interest in the club otherwise we would have strengthened in the transfer window i don t believe he gives a monkeys which league we are in next season ,don t be surprised to see the club up for sale in the not to distance future,just wish someone would come out and say whats what. Obviously most people think he should just throw money at the club, but if you were in his position, and an astute business man to boot, would you?

Succes can not come at the price of the club I understand that, which is why if his purse strings are tight tell us, I also think he has problems as there no players on our books to raise funds for new players, we missed out on selling commons he went for free (wheres that happend before) theres not one player in that side worth over 1.5m and id say earnshaw is possibly the only one worth over 1m so the squads value wont help you raise lonas if needed either

...and God knows how he is going to manage to motivate the team next week - if you heard his interview after the match, he's almost conceded defeat already, and thinks we only need to worry about playing teams at the bottom of the table, as we can't compete with the top teams. Truthful it may be, but maybe something he'd be better keeping to himself, eh Billy?

Indeed we are; but if the players we've got aren't good enough, then its up to the Board to get some who are.

And yes I know we've apparently made offers and been knocked back, but does anyone wonder why? Are our "offers" just insults? Or are the board not that bothered, and have been told by Billy he'll keep us up with what we currently have, then have a clearout in the summer, so he can bring in "his" type of players?

to nick a qoute from the guy sat next to me today its all to do with the entire facts not just some of them, if we go and offer man utd 50p for rooney and they reject it, we can then report that we made a bid for rooney and had it rejected, I hate all this undisclosed fee crap these days I want to know what we offered and for whom and from that we can decide if we made accetable bids for new players or not.
