Although we are 5 points behind WBA i believe we can pinch the 2nd place and go up automatically as there is going to be a few surprises in store for us and WBA with our remaining games, surly we can somehow start to find some form away from home and start picking up points, our home form is solid and i cant see us dropping any points at home with our remaining fixtures.

if west brom win tomorrow i'd say our chance has gone.
 
If WBA fail to win their next two before we play again then I will start to believe it's possible. If they win both then it's game over.
 
I think we can. if wba dont win next 2 tomorrow and reading,coventry are doing alright and reading are on great run aswell.
we beat newcastle and its game on for 2nd place.

we play 2 home games after bristol city away so really need to pick up win at city.

Why not???? We did it a couple of seasons ago. OK, that weas league one but other teams can still have a couple of dodgy games.
 
I'm not getting my hopes up, just for them to be dashed. If we pip automatic promotion, I will be the happiest boy alive. However, as long as we're guaranteed a Play-off spot, I'm gravy.

Even if we don't go up, I can see us managing it next season definitely.

My worry is if we don't go up this season then expectations will be raised sooooooooo much for next season that if we aren't in the same position next season as Newcastle are this then the Boo boys might start appearing at games again.

Hmph, good point.

This why being a mid table team for a couple of seasons is a good thing. Unfortunately, Forest have been involved in dramatic season closures for a good few seasons now.
 
As long as the team watch Rocky a few times to get the eye of the tiger, we'll be okay. It will help if Wes keeps hitting thunderbolt shots from outside the area too.
 
I don't think we will be a mid-table side next season if we don't go up.

I don't think any of the current side will leave and I reckon Nigel Doughty would, once again, get his cheque book out and strengthen the squad.

We'd also now be a more attractive prospect to players because of our position this season and the football we have played on many occasions.

We'll finish in a similar position next year if we don't go up, I reckon.

Indeed, the whole squad will still be here next season with the possible exception of Majewski.

We would strengthen throughout the team, I am sure of it. We have had good summers in the last three years. Plus we can ship out some of the deadwood as well.

Not losing to Newcastle is key, even getting a draw would see us shake this away match hoodoo and be a huge confidence boost.

After that there's some tricky fixtures but they're winnable. We can only worry about our own fixtures and performances.

West Brom will either slip up (like Carlisle) or they won't - thats out of our control.
