Camp: No Signings Needed, we've got UNITY

One question, can Unity play left back Lee? lol

NOTTINGHAM Forest will be better equipped to make a flying start to the Championship campaign – because there will be fewer new players to settle into the club.
That was the message today from Lee Camp, who was one of nine summer signings last season.
With manager Billy Davies looking to add only three or four additions to the City Ground squad, keeper Camp believes it will be easier for the team to get into their stride.
Last season, while they produced some good football, it was not until the 3-2 success over Derby at the end of August that they registered their first league victory.

"Last season, the manager was probably trying to find his best combination, players were trying to fit in at a new club, players were trying to settle into a new area – there are a lot of aspects to it," he said.
"If you are young and move away for the first time, it can take time to find your feet.
"Gelling a new team together can take time. You can work for hours and hours on the training ground, but it is really in matches where things start to come together.
"I am not saying it would have influenced Paul McKenna's performance levels at all – but he was coming to a new club after years with Preston.
"It will have taken him time to find his feet and for other new signings to do likewise.
"The more you play together, the more you understand your team-mates."
But, with only three or four signings expected over the summer, Camp believes it will be a smoother transition this time.
And, while Aston Villa defender Nicky Shorey has hinted that he would prefer a move to a Premiership club, Camp hopes he can be persuaded to return to Forest.
"If one of those new signings is Nicky Shorey, then he is a player we know well anyway," said Camp.
"He has been here before and we all know him. That will help as well, when you already have a feel for the place.
"He is an England international and a Premiership player, so to get somebody of his calibre would be great.
"If he is a realistic target, it would be a real coup for Forest.
"He was exceptional for us when he was here and he was an old head that provided the experience the manager likes.
"There are likely to be a number of Premier League clubs after him – and he might even choose to stay at Aston Villa."

Actually, now I sea it, its not that negative is it. Sounds like Lee expects us to make one or two catches, and confirms what we were already shore about with Shorey.

I looked at this post and thought shell I reply? It's strange how we haven't been able to secure any signings yet - some would say a bit fishy! At least we don't have to travel to Grimsby!

i know #nffc fans are worried, but i'm hearing that things are beginning to happen. I'd be amazed if there were no new signings by 7 aug.
