Calderwood again

Makes sense considering Money has left his post and I would doubt a Academy director would be difficult to prize away... With us winning and ever improving it certainly makes some sense.

however it could be wishful thinking.

I have it on excellent authority that CC will sign for Swindon at 2.55 tomorrow afternoon. It doesn't allow Paul Ince long for his team talk before the game, but we will still win, nevertheless.

Now you can throw CC to Dirty Leeds into the equation!!!! LOL

How do you see out a 12 month rolling contract? its always got 12 months left, that's the point of it.

A "rolling contract" in these terms means you get 12 months, and at the end of the 12 months if it "rolls over" you get another 12 months.

Its not like he is on a permanant 12 months notice from today and it rolls over to tomorrow.

That's exactly what it is.

As of today, he has 12 months left on his contract. On Boxing day he'll have 12 months on his contract, on February 17th he'll have 12 months left on his contract, etc.

There are two types of rolling contract. One is one that you have for services like broadband, gym membership etc. that automatically renews after the initial contract period (e.g. 12 months) unless either party give notice and cancel.

The sort of rolling contract that is usual for people in Calderwood's position is the sort that I described where they always have the contract renewing on a day by day basis. So in Calderwood's case he has 12 months today, 12 tomorrow etc. unless either party terminates it in the agreed method. It is a type of contract that is abused by top executives in the city so for example they have 3 or 5 years rolling so if they get sacked then they get a massive payout (3 or 5 years salary).

I know this is about Hoddle but it explains it better than me

All I know is that CC has a "rolling" contract, I just assumed it to be the latter sort.

I have really thought about this and I can see Calderwood being here for a long long time now,as long as we stay up that is.I just pray he is actually learning from his many flaws.

Lets hope so.

He, and the players, are gairing valuable experience and will learn from their mistakes, nobody ever learns unless you make mistakes.

Forest are not going to attract a Ferguson type manager, but they might be able to be part of making one over a long period of time. CC is learning, not many people now complain over tactics and substiutions, the team have now settled in the Championship and are building up a run of form, and things are getting better.

This has been done with a "new" (to the Championship) manager, who also like the players is now "blooded in".

Lets hope he stays long term and can take us to promotion to the Premier if not 2009/2010, then 2010/2011

Calderwood seems Scottish to me. I suspect the players have no idea what he is saying. He therefore might just be as successful as Capello has been with England. It seems a team plays best when they have no idea what the manager is saying.

Strange as I hadn't seen him mentioned for the post before.

I actuAlly think that they were waiting to se If Forest fired Calderwood but now they realise he is here for the forseeable future.
