Calderwood again

First things first my username should say peace not peac :)

Right then i know that this has been going round for a few weeks and has been rubbished but thought i would let you know that as things stand Swindon are currently trying to arrange compensation for Colin Calderwood.

I know i will get shot down for this but the person who told me this works for the club and i am happy to reveal who told me this via pm so you are in no doubt that i am not on a wind up.

I am told your chairman is being very savvy and not sacking Calderwood as he knows we have to get someone very quick and instead of sacking cc which is what was going to happen he can actually get a little bit of cash from this.

As i said i am not on a wind up and am very happy to answer via pm if need be

No offence mate but after the past few weeks I find it hard to believe any "inside Info" from people posting on Messageboards.

We will see though........

I'd cry if I had to support such a loathesome individual as Ince!

Swindon Fan, what you say sounds feasible.

I hope Calderwood is a raving success for you.

Just don't expect any tactical genius.

And why would he be coming to Forest?

He's got to pay the bills somehow...see...

Because he is available, and all available managers are linked with us.

Welcome Swindon fan, what you say pretty much explains why he hasn't been sacked yet with all the reliable information around at the aledged removal a few weeks ago.

I have no doubt Swindon want him, Doughty and MArthur are intelligent enough to realise there is a quick buck to make so will persevere as long as possible without a care for the teams position.

Im still being told this WILL happen.
everyone is taking their time though as we don't want him to go without a replacement and Allardyce first said yes, then when Sunderland became available said no.

All of this pish is based upon the presumption that Calderwood prefers the Swindon job to his current position. Why would he step down a division?

I have said ad nauseum that he has been assured of his position into January and will get funds to strenghten. No offence to you Swindon boy and Dave Numbers, but it doesn't matter what you're being told; your information is incorrect.

Calderwood is going nowhere soon.

Of course, we are afterall still a top club :nowink:

Blackburn are hardly the biggest or most attractive club. He failed, therefore he has to take a step down.

I doubt he would come here though. Buts its not such an unconceivable thought that he might.

Ince maybe be the "cheapest" (and therefore most attractive) option that Mark Arthur has?

If any of this is true... which i doubt... then why are we hanging around waiting for a small amount of money from swindon when any potential new manager needs all the time possible to make sensible decisions in time for january? It's at the point where time is not on our side in either circumstance. Back him or sack him...

Blackburn aren't either!

Ince has been doing sterling work in returning them to where they damn well belong.

I am struggling to reconcile that the powers-that-be would risk the club in that way.

If they've decided enough is enough for Colin, then he'd be out. They wouldn't hang around to see if they get some compo - because Calderwood is only on a rolling contract, the pay out wouldn't be that massive (in relative terms).

Of course, they could be biding their time until they secure a replacement, which would make more sense.

I've bitten my lips and gritted my teeth for stupid comments like this far to often.

It was an opinion not fact. Unlike yourself I have some modicom of respect for opinions so if you don't have something sensible or half respectful to say don't say it... It's comments like this from people like yourself that just piss me off.

For god sake I have an opinion I have a right for a respectful reply, not some half hearted crap response like this!

These bloody rumours annoy the life out of me... Ive had enough of letting myself think something might happen just to be disappointed. But with all due respect Swindon fan, I shall wait until I see this confirmed by the club until I get excited.
