Eh?

But we got rid of him because he was injured

Thats exactly what i thought, but SSN have just said they have sent him back to Forest to see out the rest of the season....i'm unsure why at the moment, unless we have some sort of striker injury?

Yeah but even if we do, he's injured so he can hardly cover :D

Maybe, and this is pure speculation, he's been told he can leave in the summer and come to us, can't play for Brum for the rest of the season because of injury, so he may as well come back here where he's wanted.

Never known it to happen before, but I suppose it could

True, but we may have struck a deal over the past couple of days to take him back and then buy him in the summer, but with him being here now, our medical staff can treat and keep an eye on him.

Contractually we never actually sent him back, as we don't have the choice to send him back.

When we loaned him he signed until the end of the season, although Brum had a recall clause which kicked in this week. However, there was no 'send back' clause, so contractually he's ours until the season finishes and we'll continue to pay his wages and of course have the option to select him.

However, I think he's going for an operation on his knee.

It would seem you are indeed correct :)

Strange one that

A similar thing happened last year with Konstantopolous.

We loaned him (in March) until the end of the season but he got injured immediately but officially, he was still a Forest player right up until the end of May.

Almost certainly being sold in the summer then.

Might be worth having around the club for a bit of experience if nothing else, should his attitude be as good as Davies says it is. He's been around first team football for a decade, so he'll know a thing or two.

He's here so we may as well make the most of it, and I dare say he'll be itching to make an impression against Cov.

Sent back so we treat his injury no doubt, so it'll be at our expense and not theirs. And quite rightly to. If we sent out, say James Perch to Coventry, and he got injured whilst playing for them, there would be uproar for what they had done to our player etc

If it is not to simply treat his injury and was because of a "future fee" agreement, then again its the right thing to do as he is a decent player when fit and would be good addition to the already low on experience squad. Davies has already said he wants to get rid of a few players next season regardless of what division we are in, and to start to build the squad of players he beleives will push things forward. McSheffery would be awesome in League One, god forbid we go back there (if he did come to us if we were there that is!)

In todays interview on Forest world they are still talking as if Mcsheffery has gone and that we are down to 6 loan players!

It isn't Brum's right to send him back to forest. For starters we cannot re loan him and he was already recalled for surgery.

There is no chance it has happened because it is simply impossible and it would mean loaning him back since the loan window is closed, it is not possible.

He was on loan untill the end of the season though.

The loan contract wasn't terminated.

He wouldn't be eligable to play for Birmingham again this season, even if he was fit.

He would if the loan had a recall agreement, which, if memory serves, it did.

Read the thread. He hasn't been recalled and we can't send him back.

Yep, they can recall him whenever they like as it stands. Although, it seems as though he's had an Operation and wont be able to play again this season. Yet, we're still paying his wages.
