Britt Assombalonga

Having thought about this one for a couple of days, I'm envisaging a positive in that half way through the season next year Assombalonga returns from injury to give us the extra boost to push us up the table into the top spot to finish as Champions of the Championship.

While the loss of Britt is a massive blow and the transfer embargo also hanging over the club, this situation certainly offers Dougie an unparalleled opportunity to shape the team on a relative shoestring.

It's good that he's involving the likes of Oliver Burke and I'm hoping to see Tyler Walker on the bench too.

This summer will allow more deadwood to be culled from the squad and more wage savings, so I reckon it could all be a blessing in disguise in the long-term.
 
It is a dreadful blow for the young man.

From everything I have seen, heard and read about him, he is a decent fellow, so I wish him well for his recovery.
 
As sponsors of the guy, can the forum get its money back, or transfer sponsorship to Danny Fox for a laugh, or something?

Gutting, he won't play again for us before the back end of next season. The luck we've had with these long term injuries to key players is extraordinary.
