A night of reflection about his Forest days, will be held at the Royal Concert Hall on the 5th June, with Burns, Mc Govern, Anderson, Birtles etc. and Colin Tarrant the guy who played Clough on stage at the Playhouse. Could be a 'solid' night out. What do you think?

Slightly different topic but went to the cinema last night and saw the trailer for 'The damned United' - looks like it has the potential to be a quality film, and from the snippets I saw the actor playing the great man was very impressive in his portrayal. I suppose we'll wait and see though!

Just decided to go.
After a20 hour train journey to Munich 30 years ago the half hour drive from Bottesford should be a doddle. ;D
Anyone care to meet for a pre show pint or two somewhere near the theatre??
Just phoned ....plenty of tickets available on the door but only on the 2nd tier so stalls must be full. :1st:

Just got back, wow what a fantastic evening! Super stuff! They had Pat Murphy as compere and Kenny Burns, Larry Lloyd, Gary Birtles, Tony Woodcock and John McGovern talking with a cameo appearance from John Robertson, with some skits by Colin Tarrant as Cloughy.

Forever recreating the past as the present tense is far from perfect.

Cant beleive Cloughies tactics at times but when you look at the silverware we won... amazing.

It was good to see an almost full concert hall for this celebration of 'our' achievements. Colin Tarrant was almost perfect both in his voice and all those Clough mannerisms (including squash racket)'Robbo' got the players vote for greatest player and made a short appearance, as per usual the players stories and memories were funny and ''off the wall' , nicely linked together by Pat Murphy, who by the way wrote Cloughies column in 442 magazine.
