Cloughie rants about Alan Sugar,Fashanu and Cantona

I remember this at the time when my dad said watch our best ever manager on TV,I thought he reminded me of my old headmaster at time because of his constant shouting.

Even though Brian didn't look well on the clip his strong opinions never changed.

Also a young Darren Fletcher formerly off Century 106 now BBC Radio 5 live pundit appears on 2:33 ;D

To be honest I cringe a little watching the video. He's clearly under the influence and beyond the charismatic, entertaining Clough everyone grew to love and respect.

We remember him at that time as in decline, yet in these clips he's funny and forthright. One clip is called Clough drunk on TV. He's not George Best drunk, he can still hold his own.

You can tell he is very much under the influence, but he still spoke a lot of sense.

Darren Flatcher had some large shoulder pads ;D

The similarity between Clough and Mourinho at around 6:20 is uncanny, as he sits arms folded and slightly disinterested with the whole affair. Plus, what brilliant points he's making about the modern game being on TV too much, and over analysed. God only knows what he would make of today's footie on every day, internet warriors, harassing of referees and such like.

For a manager who at the time was basically at the top of world football to so vociferously defend the difficult job referees do is incredible and testament to the greatness of the man. Can you imagine Fergie conducting himself with the same dignity and values? Not a chance, and this is what separates him from other managers like Revie, Fergie, Wenger etc who have won things but can't get close to him in terms of class.

Great interview, and paints him in a far better light than the loud drunk on the previous video.

Cheers mate i've been looking for this for ages, Remember this like it was yesterday....was about 15-16 at the time and my dad reminded me it was on, both sat down to watch it and was ooh'ing and ahh'ing all the way through...I remember asking my dad "what the hell is a spiv?"
Looking back although he made alot of good points it was abit cringeworthy to watch...Bet the bar did good that day though...Cloughie & Greavsie together that must of got messy!!!! ;D
