Anyone think Brennan won’t fancy this move? I certainly think it depends on what Glasner has to say, if he’s staying etc..

At this point in BJ's first season at this level he had 2 G/A in 18 starts.

People are only remembering the good with BJ and judging him on that whilst judging Ndoye on solely the bad.

I really do not get this - there is no space for him in the squad, we can't afford him & I don't think he suits our style anymore at all. If he didn't used to play for us it wouldn't even get mentioned.
For me, if we were to go to a fantasy land where such things could happen, I would press a button and swap Ndoye and Brennan in an instant.

That's not to say I think Ndoye is bad, but he's still a mystery box as it stands, whereas Brennan will get 8-ish goals a season. That's not nostalgia talking. The big thing that we're missing this season is a reliable source of goals.

It's all a moot point anyway, but I just wanted to point out that Brennan has rarely started this season.

Yes, he's a good player and I'd absolutely have him back if it was a genuine possibility. Unfortunately it isn't at the moment.

I'd absolutely let NDoye out if it meant bringing Brennan back in... and I say that as someone who thinks NDoye will come good.

Will he come 20 goals a season good as BJ pretty much did in a terrible Spurs side last season? I doubt it, though I do think there's a player on there.

Id be on the blower to Napoli to see if they still have interest; I'd love to see that understanding between Brennan and Morgan again. A boy can dream...

Agree, it's the Gibbs-White/Johnno understanding that is a major pull for me to want Johnno back. Looks like it's not on the cards and that's fine. Wish him well.

One hopes he's holding out for our interest. If we're shifting players on this window and Spurs willing to do business with, I'd be all over it.

I’d take Johnson over N’Doye every single day for our current situation, if we had Johnson who would link up with Gibbs-White immediately we’d be a better team.

No chance it happens but you can’t convince me he doesn’t immediately improve us. We’re in a relegation battle so we need improvements today not in 12 months.

For what it’s worth, as frustrating as N’Doye is I still think there’s something in his game worth persevering with.

Anyway, we’re clearly not interested so this is all a waste of time discussing it.

Fabrizio reporting that Sunderland and Everton have asked about him as well.

For those of us inexplicably turning our noses up at him, he must have something about him that Palace, Bournemouth, Everton and Sunderland (teams that are on balance, more or less on par with us) all want him.

I'm disappointed we're honestly not making even an attempt, to be honest. I honestly think that if we threw our hat in the ring with those lot, he'd choose to come back here, especially as we have a European campaign going on.

For me, he'd be more effective than any of the other wide or forward options at the club, with the exception of a fully fit Chris Wood. That's not a knock on Hudson-Odoi or Hutchinson at all, but Johnson would score goals, especially as we're now a better team than we were when he left in 2022-2023.

It’s not in public but there is nothing to say we haven’t asked the question. It wouldn’t completely shock me if Forest came out of nowhere and signed him to be honest, especially if we’re going to wheel and deal a bit.

To be honest, the way it’s being reported as being down to Brennan, it makes me think he’s waiting to see if we might come in.
