Brendon Moloney sell or keep?

Depends on the fee really, promising player and has been doing a very good job for County this season. I'd like to see him kept for at least another season maybe loaned to a league 1 side to see if he can carry on the progression and force his way into our squad. But if we can get a good fee from them and that could go to improving the current first team squad then I can see him leaving. He's only proved himself for a 3rd of a season in league 2 after all and the gulf between that and the Championship is an absolute chasm. I'd like to see us hold out for 500k but think its more likely he'l go for 200-300k. He's not worth this just yet but think itl be a case of 'we know you have the money'.

Keep. Will be able to give Gunter a good rest and be just as adequate.

If it wasnt for Gunter, i'd love to keep him here. THe fact is, we have a better right back now, as good as Moloney might be.

I'll be sad to see him go, but i can't say we'll miss him too much. A shame really. A nice 500k (or maybe a Million if Clounty are involved) would be lovely.

We should keep him, without a shadow of a doubt. He really impressed me last season and is the only recent graduate of our academy who I believe has the ability to make it.

Of course, if County were prepared to pay in excess of £1,000,000 (let's face it, they can more than afford it), then I wouldn't stand in his way. I genuinely believe he's got the potential to justify that sort of price tag in the near future, especially as we're lacking in defensive cover. Let's also not forget the hidden covenant enshrined in January transfer window law (seen solely by Marthur) stating that it doesn't apply to Nottingham Forest for incoming transfers.

Marshall.

I'd take £2M for him, then we can sign Bale.

Doubt we will keep him as he had fallen out with Billy which was part of the reason for the on loan, shame.

Keep him, one for the future and a good player at that, we should`nt sell our up and coming players just because someone comes sniffing, i think if they sold him they would regret it later!

f*** him off, those in his fan club put the hoodoo on him in the same way they have done for Smith. Backing a winner :D

"We are trying to sign Brendan Moloney but Forest want the best possible price for him."

Keep him. There is no real competition for places in defence; it's the only bit of the team that picks itself because of a shortyage of players.

Chambers at RB must be ahead of him, even Smith :nowink:

Keep without a shadow of doubt.

Once known as Nick.Doyle.nffc on 'ere.
It would be sad to see him go, if Forest do agree to sell him to the Magpies.

Keep!

Billy is always going on about having a big squad. If he improves, he could be perfect back up for Gunter.
If we sold him then we would surely have to be in the market for a new RB cover anyway. Thats going to cost us another arm and a leg.

I beg to differ Maloney is a far better BB than Chambers who by his own admission is not comfortable there. Of the 50 or so games I have seen him play in that position he made about 8 tackles and was run ragged numerous times.

Keep him, but if we can get between £500k and £1 million let him go.

Sell

If we can get £500k that would be a good deal. We have Gunter, Chambers and Perch who are all better. Agree with Tommy1drop that he was over-hyped by some people on this forum.

Sell, £500k to County.

They can afford him, we have Perch and other players who can play at RB if required, and if he's older than Gunter, surely we've got a better 'hot prospect' already in the squad
