Brendan Moloney to Notts permanently?

I've just been told by a Notts supporting neighbour that Moloney has signed for Notts on a permenent deal.

Hope it's not true as I rate him quite highly but his contract is up and we don't seem to be offering anything.

Anyone else heard anything about this?

I would be very sad to see him leave.

If he were to go then I'd wish him all the best. He will, no doubt, have a great career ahead of him.

What make you say he will have a "great" Career?

Look at all our other rising "stars" that have failed to deliver.

I'm not saying he won't be a good player because I haven't seen enough of him to judge him but all he has done so far is play well in the 4th tier

He played well for us under CC before he was sacked in the Championship.

From what I have seen of him he seems to be a very sound player.

I still think he could do a job for us.

Could he 'do a job' for a side in the premiership or for a side in dvision 1.....he did ok in a side that was struggling big time but we're looking to step up, not down. Gunter 'failed' (harsh maybe but if they loved him he'd not be here) at spurs and look how we love the boy here, is Moloney in his class? If not, than I suspect for his own sake he needs to move on

I can't see the harm in loaning him to County though. Then if he has another blinder, loan him to Championship club for a season. Then if he has a blinder, put him in the team.

Let him go, he may be a season off getting into our team, maybe two but maybe never.

It would be awful.. there needs to be a distance between the fans and the regime, imho.

Sad to see Brendan go, however it's tough to envisage him displacing Gunts so moving on is probably the best option for him. Good luck to him, either way.

Imagine the moans if someone asked Nigel a question and didn't get the answer they wanted or at least a very long answer.

Yep, there gimp of a chairman has more or less confirmed it on one of their forums

He also said on there that he was announcing their new 'Technical director' last Thursday, (now supposed to be doing it tomorrow) and that he had lined up friendlies with Everton, Celtic and 'them over the road', as he referred to us.

Perhaps he's using Barnum as his PR man!

Nigel was a member of the Official Forum and answered the occasional question forwarded by the fans. Likewise Mark Arthur, John Pelling, and a number of senior players including Riccardo Scimeca, Des Walker and Chris Bart Willims all frequented the board to discuss their opinions and viewpoints. Even David Platt answered a Question and Answer session which was organised and broadcast live on the forum and website. Sadly this openness will never happen again as a few members spoilt and ruined it with their vitriolic tirade and personal vendetta against NFFC staff.

I think the right balance has now been acheived with non-official boards catering for the fans. It allows supporters to discuss and speak freely (to a vary degree) without a requirement for a modicum of decorum, or moderation. When appropriate the Forest management still have an avenue to answer the questions put to them by the fans. In truth, LTLF staff should be commended for their continuing hard work and dedication, and taking the board forward.

He'd never get the chances he deserves here with Gunter and Perch in front of him. Always sad to see a promising young kid go but hopefully we've picked a decent fee up, although I'm not holding my breath considering Cotterill left as the budget wasn't enough.

He'll no doubt establish a decent career in the lower leagues of English football.

To be fair to the lad, he said he had enjoyed his time at Notts, so you cant really fault him if he has signed as he was playing every game when there, it was only when he went to Scunny that he got his injury....He was a decent player but i doubt he would have ever got his chance at Forest.
Notts have themselves a good player, so well done to them.

From past reports on this forum, I'd be looking at least £1.5m for this lad.
