rather we waste money on a loan fee then shedding out on buying him if he was to be no good.
Why not use the money to purchase a player we do want - ie offer Villa more money to get Shorey on loan until the end of season.
I suspect Boyd was just a panic loan as we failed with all other bids, and Billy never actually wanted him.
