In today league paper on page 5 abit says about billy davies staying and info on some players targets.

it says towards bottom of it....

Davies first task will be to complete a deal for peterborough winger George Boyd who is also wanted by ipswich,derby,and middlesbrough. Boyd 24,joined forest on loan in march and looked to be heading for the exit after starting just three of the reds final 14 games.
That sparked fears he had been recruited by the trensfer panel but he was,in fact a davies signing. In reality,davies felf Boyd's fitness wasn't up to scratch and didnt feel he could be risked in crucial end of season encounters.

I understand that Billys idea of a fit player and P'boros idea of a fit player differs by about a stone or so.

so davies signing,hopefully if boyd comes in this summer,his fitness will be up to level of the rest of the team so we really can see the best of him. time will tell if we sign boyd or someone better.

The paper in most shops,dont nn if you can read it online. some shops put it behind other paper's so look. it mostly behind the non league paper.

what i meant though is that no player will be signed if billy does not approve. he's a member of the panel for a start.

I don't think there's any doubt that Boyd is a good player but I'm still not sure he's the player for us, he isn't too pacy and doesn't seem to get about the pitch as much as other players although maybe that's what this story is already implying with the comments about his fitness.

He has some great talents but the basics such as tracking back don't seem to be there or at least not in as much there is for Tyson, Anderson and to some extent even McCleary.

Tyson can't play on the wing. It's a total waste of a starting role if he plays.
