Likewise, not many people appreciated that Agogo or Holt did those things quite a lot too, as well as scoring the tap ins.

Blackstock is the piece of the jigsaw we've been missing all season and what timing it was getting him in! If only we'd had him all season.

Holt didn't really do much of it though, not least when he was played on the wing.

The Agogo pre-ACON would've been an asset this season, albeit not a patch on Blackstock, but after he'd been tapped up in Ghana he was virtually useless.

If we can't get Blackstock, apparently Adebolas not renewing his contract.

We have to break the bank to get him. Funny how his future at the club has turned from a neutral to an optomistic view. He was one of the key factors to us surviving. Even if we have to pay a few hundred k over the mark for him I'd do it. Anyone who can't see what a good player he is must be blind !

Add Gunter on a season long loan, Anderson again (loan or transfer) Lynch on a permanent and a fit McSheffrey and the total would come to no more than 5 million. We would then have a core that ended the season in playoff form ! A few new faces and we would be ready to rock. We just have to keep hold of Wes, Cohen and Earnie !!!

The article from the sky website is a pretty positive one from Blackstocks point of view. Without over commiting himself, it seems like if we offer the right amount he's ours.....

"My future doesn't necessarily lie in my hands. If QPR accept a fee for me it's up to me to leave."

Preceeded by

"I am enjoying it and everything about the club is great," Blackstock told the club's official website.

"The fan base, ground, training ground and the management staff. It is a massive club"

He is one player that should be our first order of business , sit down , talk with QPR , talk with Blackstock. Get him signed as soon as possible.

When does the transfer window open. We should try and get our business done early. Blackstock should be top of the list.

Was told that fee was agreed at time subject to us staying up and player wanting to come. Player is making the right noises so deal should be concluded at end of season unless the dodgy dealings at QPR continue.

hope we keep blackstock, hes been key for us and saved us 2 points against bristol city, 2 points against coventry with that assist and a great point against blackpool :D
who else can we keep ?

They should do a package deal.

Buy this Blackstock and get a Camp for half price!

Well Gunter sounds like he wants to come back next season, albeit on loan.

In addition to that, Benitez is looking to offload some players to fund his transfer kitty. Maybe Billy could strike an Ando deal?

i heard that this morning on SSN actually, so anderson might possibly come back next season as Benetiz needs money to get bigger players in. So who knows haha ? With blackstock back too forest can really go for it and get into the top 10! :D

He will be as big of a signing as Blackstock if we can get him on a year long loan in my view. It is no coincidence in my view that his arrival has coincided with us looking a lot firmer at the back. He's been nothing short of excellent for us and you can just see from how composed he is on the ball that he will be a top quality player in a few years time.

I totally agree though RE: Blackstock, let's not dick around again with QPR like we did with Camp, pay them a fair price and get him signed up.

fantastic.

looks like the deals on.

would be great also if we could keep hold of gunter and anderson! both premiership class.

I think the biggest stumbling block would've been Dex himself, my understanding was he wasn't keen to come here - although given the circumstances of the move, I'm not really surprised.

However, visibly he seems to have enjoyed his time here, built a rapport with his teammates and the fans - so hopefully he's happy with the idea of a permanent move. Then it will be just down to whether he will be prepared to accept the teeny tiny wages Mark Arthur will probably offer him lol
