, we would have very much been in the mire!Denis Norden's Clipboard said:Fair play to him. He wants to serve the last year of his contract out at his club and is happy there.
He did well for us and we should all be grateful for what he did for us.
Without that goal against Brizzle, we would have very much been in the mire!

Clifford said:In 6 months he can start talking to other clubs. We should offer him a contract then in time for next season to eventually replace Adebola.
Paying over 1 million when his contract is ending is too much.

AndyShep mk.2 said:true but we have enough strikers at the minute, judging by the friendly adebola can do more than just a job this season, i think six strikers will lead to trouble

I think we're going to have six strikers by the start of the season, regardless of if the fans think it's a good idea. Billy has spouted on about doing it plenty of times and to not do so would make himself look a little silly now.
i don't doubt we will have six strikers, as you say billy will look daft after banging on about it so much, just think it'll cause trouble
I don't think either we have the choice of a 6th striker or a defender, I imagine we're going for both anyway.
i hope you are right, but it's not just about money, if we spend too much time on one deal we might miss one
I think Blackstock would fit well with out current strikers and is at a good age too, we could potentially build a long lasting partnership for this club with him, Garner and McGoldrick that stays with the club for many a year. With the right development plan and the bond that would be former they could be the cornerstone of a premiership standard attacking in line somewhere down the line.we can but hope ;D

I'd pay over £1m for Eto'o at the moment.
