Blackstock explains u-turn.

Nottingham Forest yesterday ended their search for a striker by swooping for Queens Park Rangers forward Dexter Blackstock.

The 22 year old has been on Forest's radar for some weeks but hopes of clinching a loan deal for him looked to be fading.

But only hours before today's closing of the loan window Forest man Billy Davies got his man.

The QPR striker wasn't keen on the move initially, Blackstock explained "I've been on the fringes at QPR, but always felt that the next opportunity I got to start, I would seize the chance to keep my place. I've scored 12 goals this season, despite not being a regular, so I've got great faith in my own ability"

However, after Thursday evening's training session, Blackstock had a change of heart. "Thursday night's TV was really boring, so I decided to surf the net for a bit. I couldn't really look at the usual porn sites, as Mum was hoovering in the next room, so I decided to Google my name and see what the fans were saying about me"

Blackstock had a suprise though. "The top result was actually a Nottingham Forest fan site, called LTLF. When I clicked on the link I found eight threads all about me. It really convinced me that this was a place I'd really be appreciated, not like that QPR lot, who only love you if you surname is unpronouncable"

Did Dexter read any of the threads in his name? "No, but the fact they were there was enough to convince me. I rang Billy Davies straight away and said I wanted to sign".

(Article coming soon to a trusted source. Probably not.)

And I half expected it to be a story about how he drove his vehicle in a 180° turn at some traffic lights!

Anyway any update on this?
