it says....
Queens Park Rangers have finally decided that Dexter Blackstock can leave the club and sign for the Reds'.

A fee beleieved to be £1.6m has been agreed between the clubs, as well as personal terms with Dex.

The news confirms and proves correct the informationOldjom gave on the forum last night. He said Dexter could be a Forest player and we've now heard he is.

Other news coming to us, is that there could be a double swoop on Coventry City. As well as our bid for Daniel Fox, now thought to have been increased to £2.5m, we could be in for his defensive partner Elliott Ward. Newcastle are said to have expressed an interest in Fox, but with no manager and no funds a deal with them looks a long way off.

Things are certainly warming up on Trentside, with the club looking like it means business next season. We're expecting the official announcements of Gunter and McKenna anytime soon, with news of Dexter shortly after. Happy days!
for those who can't be arsed to follow the link

I know normally our friends at Vital can some times jump the gun on things like this, but it has also been mentioned on several QPR forums in the last 24-48 hours as well. So with any luck it could be true!

Of course it would be nice to have Blackstock here, it really would.

But do we need him?

Adebola and McGoldrick both have height & physical presence.
Earnshaw is tricky and can finish.
Joe Garner is competitive, a fighter, and can produce great finishes.
Tyson has pace, and can finish if he gets his eye in.

What more is Blackstock going to give us?? Just more strain on the wage bill, in my opinion.

Unless there was some truth about Garner being shipped out on loan? But I'd rather have Garner than Blackstock any day!

Hope not, was going to get 23 (??) Blackstock on the new shirt to sulk at the fact we didn't sign him.

there is no doubt the Earnshaw & Blackstock partner ship really started taking shape towards the lend of last season. I would except those 2 to be the main strikers.

Adebola and Garner as Back up

Tyson & McGoldrick as utility attacking options, often used in Midfield or on wing.
Mcgoldrick spent most of last season as a midfielder, and most Southampton fans say he plays much better when he hasn’t got the pressure of scoring.

By the time the new shirts are released, we probably would have signed him in the Jan window.

Can you please supply any of these links as I have just visited 5/6 sites that doesn't mention anything about Blackstock.

The latest I found on Blackstock was this:

My QPR friend thinks the QPR deal could be further than we are led to believe. Dexter has apparantly told the board he will sit out until his contract expires, then leave on a Bosman for free... He believes that any deal done could be a season loan with a fee not £1.6million, in the belief that Dexter doesn't want to line their pockets because of the treatment he has received...

So unless QPR have forced the issue it is not for definate :)

Could it be we might end up with a whole host of players coming in that will soon be worth millions overall but costing us peanuts.

So far all of our incoming players have been top notch, let's just hope they can gell as a team and not as individuals because if this lot start playing I wouldn't even consider swapping them for those at Newcastle.

A guy who I haven't spoken to for 4 years called me this morning to tell me that he was sat on a plane with Dexter Blackstock (coming back from Slovenia) yesterday... they got talking (my mate's a spurs fan) and he told him he and Gunter were going to sign for Forest.
