Blackstock and Tyson

Given the number 32 shirt for the 2006-07 season, Blackstock was first choice striker throughout the season and played with a number of different partners, including Kevin Gallen, Paul Furlong and Marc Nygaard. Somewhat surprisingly however, the teenager Ray Jones was Blackstock’s most regular partner as they struck up a good understanding with a combination of pace and power.

Pace and power. Maybe Tyson would be a decent foil for Dex? There's a good few combinations we haven't tried yet. I reckon Billy needs to do them all at some point. We'll see.

Nathan has been a f***er to deal with on the left though, I like seeing him there, I think that Dex and McGodrick need a run out with Anderson right and Tyson left.

Stick majewski and McKenna in the middle and we have a handful going forward.

Now the back 4................. I'm all out of ideas.

Given the lack of left winger (Ando could do a job there, but then we'd have a lack of right winger - as I'm unconvinced with Gaz McC as anything other than an impact sub gamble) I would rather see Dex paired with Earnie.

Although they're both prone to missing sitters of late!

A few times this season McGoldrick has come on as sub and played on the right. In my opinion he's looked pretty handy out there if I'm honest - better than he has done up front anyway. Ando on the left with McGoldrick on the right could be a possible combination.

That said, I'd rather have Ando on the right, Tys on the left with Dex and Earnie up front though.

I'd be quite happy to see Tyson play on the left and as long as he is allowed to stay there - particularly when he has the beating of the right back as he did on Tuesday only to be shifted onto the right at half time leaving us with two ineffective wingers.

Earnie and Blackstock up front would be my personal pairing. Sounds like they have started to pair up well over recent weeks, more time but a work in progress !

Tys has sealed his left wing position I think. I appreciate it must be fustrating for a striker to be out of the main scoring position, but he is so effective there it's scary. Unfortunately the team seem to stop playing him wide as the game progresses, otherwise he could be our major midfield weapon !

If all else fails lets go with Adebola & Wes! If Wes is going to continue with his deflections let's make 'em count at the other end! :bigwes:

No ? He's sounded quite sharp over the past 2 games when you take into account how the team seem to think they're throwing balls over the top to Dele.
