Premiership Blackpool are believed to have joined the race to sign Forest striker Nathan Tyson.

The Reds are thought to be willing to listen to offers for the player, who craves the chance to play in his preferred role up front.

Forest have already begun work to sign a replacement, having bid £300,000 for Sheffield Wednesday winger Jermaine Johnson.

They are likely to demand as much as £1m for Tyson, who cost £675k when he signed from Wycombe in 2005.
 
blackpool may as well try and loan colin jackson, all tyson is, is a sprinter.
 
Be sad to see him go if true i have alway's felt with Tyson that something will happen everytime he comes on, but it rarely does.

I don't think Tyson is as bad as some of you guys seem to think. Nevertheless £1 million would be great business if we can bag a suitable replacement.
 
Tys is fast running across/down good pitches. I'm less convinced about his ability to do this on beaches.

Agreed, i have always really wanted to like tyson, but i'm really not sure he has the quality for this level (let alone the prem), but at the moment we really can't afford to lose any more players from the squad. If 6 new bodies came in i'd be far from upset to see him move on and wish him all the best wherever he ended up.

I'm one of Tyson's biggest fans (I know his flaws) but for £1m I'd like to see him move on.

I used to be a big Nathan Tyson fan, so much so when I first signed up to this forum in 2006 my original name was 'Nathan Tyson' lol

But this deal is looking similar to Perch's, we're having one of our weaker players taken off us for a good price by a Premiership club.

agree with Marshall. It's clear he's approaching the finishing line at Forest with no more track

If we get 1mill for him I will put this pre season down as being fantastic for Nottingham Forest, OK we havnt signed anyone, but we are a 2nd div club remember! getting rid of two players like Perch and Tyson, who are clearly over their heads in the champ would be phenomenal
 
What's the point in getting £1m for him if it's not reinvested in the team, that doesn't benefit us at all.

I am not Tyson fan but I don't think we should offload anyone else until we have some new signings.
