That's poor. Their biggest game for 30 odd years and they still haven't been able to sell out the day before the game.

"...season ticket holders of four years or more will have the opportunity to purchase..."

Ignoring the cheap "I'm over 4 years old" gags, isn't something like this a fairer way than "£20 for a membership to jump the queue" ?

Their home tickets only went on general sale today.

they didnt they went on general sale at same time as season ticket holders, obviously the season ticket holders seat reserved that deadline kept on being extended as "they were struggling to meet demand". Those unclaimed tickets have now been released for general sale.

this is tragic Blackpool and yet again sums up why you are at your peak and any higher would be a travesty for football, the Premiership has already got Wigan pulling in pathetic grounds each week the last thing it needs is another. But to make things worse 'pool have a crap ground and an away end compromising of a golf stand! - surely not even legal in the prem

Not really, no.

If I bought a season ticket this season for the first time and have been to every away game as well, do I have less right to buy a ticket than you because you've had your season ticket for ten years?

You seem to be arguing that years of dedicated support is less of a measure of "right" than the size of your wallet.

In the interests of fairness, that argument can work either way though. Some people may not have been able to afford a season ticket for four years or more, even though they may have desperately wanted to be able to.

That's not really the point though. What's the better measure, whether you can pay £20 or whether you've been a season ticket holder for 4 years.

I'm not a new season ticket holder and I haven't been to every away game so it was all hypothetical.

I reckon it works both ways, though. No matter what system you use, there'll be an unhappy group of people and a happy group of people.
