Blackpool, Swansea or Leicester in the Play offs.

Well it can still be any of the three, at the moment it's looking likely to be Blackpool, thats if we win away at Scunny, Cardiff can still finish 3rd which could mean an East midlands clash with Leicester whilst swansea can still finish in 6th if Blackpool slip up next week, it's exciting stuff.... But who would prefer?. I feel that we are capable of getting past all three and it's looking more and more likely that it could be a Forest- Cardiff Final!

Rather play swansea because swansea arent as good as both leicester or blackpool.

beat leicester in the final would be even better :)

will be Leicester now I reckon. Cant see us getting anything against Scunny and think Cardiff could do Derby.

I worry about every one of them!

Swansea play great football but don't have a goalscorer. Would be just our luck that the goals fly in against us in the play offs. And having beaten them twice I would worry that they are due a win.

Cardiff are a good side and are the only team that have held us at home in ages.

Leicester fans are a pain in the arse and I couldn't bear months of them bragging that they beat us in the play offs. And the pressure would all be on us.

Blackpool would be the underdogs in the eyes of many, despite them being a good side. They beat us twice, so would be confident. However, I think we are due a result against them and we are a much better team than the one they beat at the CG last year so - all things considered - Blackpool would be my opponent of choice.

I think we will end our away barren spell and beat S****horpe to finish 3rd.We can beat any of Swansea or Blackpool on our day.Preferrable choice would be Swansea due to their style of football and I think Blackpool are a very confident team right now,if we end up against them I couldn't call it either way.

I would probably like Swansea out of them.

To be honest I fancy us in this. Us or Festa. Blackpool won't be allowed in the Prem, someone will surely interveine and not let them in. It jsut wouldnt look right. Welsh teams won't be allowed in. That just leaves us and Fester with the only realistic chance.

The Premiership isnt a place for Blackpool or Welsh.

We need to avoid Blackpool like the plague. They are the only team to beat us twice this year. They've won 6 out of the last 7 games, only losing to Newcastle.

They are similar to Yeovil in that they are a better side than people give them credit for, despite being a small club. A section of our fans would expect us to wipe the floor with them because it's only Blackpool and when it isn't that easy in reality the atmosphere isn't nice.

If they get in the playoffs they will be the team on most confidence and the teams that go on a great run to scrape into the play offs usually win them.

Tactically, we've got Swansea's number and they are the least likely to score a load of goals in the last 10 minutes when we decide to panic because were only winning by 3-4 goals.

Leicester or Cardiff in the final, I would be confident we can beat both.

No wonder my post count..
I'm elated to see that Blackpool and Swansea are battling it out for that last play off spot.

Next week they will both be using key players and burning themselves out in the process.

I'd say Cardiff's the only team we have to really worry about.

Swansea please.
They don't have the fire power to hammer us away. The worst case scenario might be a loss by the odd goal at their place. We'll know what we need to do at home and I'd be confident of at least a 2-0 at home.
Blackpool on paper is worse because they're the form side + the psychological advantage of doing the double over us. However, I think this could add extra motivation for Billy and the boys to go back to Bloomfield and do'em. Surely they can't do the treble or god forbid...the quadruple over us!
Either of those, I'd be quietly confident
Leicester on the other hand would see us as another cup final for them at the crisp bowl. Tricky tie, could see them sneaking a 1-0 and then defending for their lives at the CG. One to avoid until Wembley.

Anyone except Swansea. We may have done the double over them but, arguably, they were the better side in both games and luck has a habit of balancing itself out.

I would prefer Swansea. Blackpools pitch is a disgrace, it doesn't suit us at all.

I'd want Swansea for sure.

Blackpool really are a side who I'd worry about more for their momentum than anything else.

I'd fancy us to beat Blackpool, Leicester or Swansea over two legs and I think we'll find Cardiff waiting for us in the Final.

Slightly off the point of this thread but....

Given the big difference between our home and away form, what sort of display/performance do you think we'd see from the reds if we get to Wembley (a neutral venue)?

I honestly don't care. Were more than good enough to beat any of them. Just a case of proving we want it more.

Let's get there first but...

Form counts for nothing in a Wembley final. It almost always comes down to who's more up for it on the day.

Have Forest lost a TV match this season ?

Edit:

Hmm, the Newcastle match ... but apart from that ...

That makes for a scary read, I don't like that Yeovil comparison one bit. I might go and watch Blackpool's highlights from the weekend on iPlayer now.

Just wondering chaps, are Forest selling tickets in the Lower Bridgford to home fans for the home playoff leg?

Or will it be a case of waiting for the home area's selling out, before opening those blocks for home fans?

I wouldnt worry. We're a different team now. Its not like we've got Wes to do a short back pass... oh, wait.
